Stayed May 7, 2026Angela was a great host. I’d recommend anyone staying here visiting southern Illinois. Plenty of space, and if you needed more space to sleep, there’s a lot of floor space for blow up air mattresses, even though they do have 4 full size beds. Very peaceful and tranquil spot in the country. No traffic. No stress. Perfect!

Stayed Apr 13, 2026there was a terrible mouse problem. No TV. soap dispenser in 1 shower empty of body wash and shampoo. No paper towels or napkins. Kitchen had no large plastic bowls. Everything else was fine, would stay there again if these issues were corrected.

Stayed May 23, 2025This house was perfect for our family of 7- all adults. There was plenty of space and the floor plan was great to allow everyone their own space as needed. We have rented many houses, condos, cabins and this was the first to have some food items on hand in case we needed it. The only thing I would suggest is to bring any plastic bowls with lids that you might need. With 7 of us, we did need them. However, Dollar General isn’t far and it is cheap. We greatly enjoyed our stay and this is definitely on our list for future trips.

Stayed Mar 28, 2025Family and two dogs traveled from Maryland to celebrate my Grandmother’s 90th birthday in DuQuoin. Perfect place for our family and dogs to unwind after a long drive. Very clean. Had everything we needed. I honestly do not know if there was a lakefront. We were on the move when we weren’t sleeping.
