Stayed Sep 10, 2025We had an excellent stay in Perkins Cove. Great location for the trip, and loved being in very very short walking distance to the American Art Museum (such amazing views from the back of the museum to the water, not to mention the excellent collections of art)! Our hosts were easy to communicate with and attentive to anything we needed!

Stayed Aug 16, 2025A relaxing vacation with the dog!We all enjoyed the walk to Perkins Cove,Marginal Way, and Ogunquit.Although we enjoyed going out, reading on the front porch was a highlight.Dog friendly Well Beach (before 8 AM or after 6 PM) made walking the beach fun for all and made for a tired pooch to bring to a dog friendly dinner

Stayed Jul 19, 2025This home is a gem! The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything you would want for a relaxing vacation. We were impressed with how well appointed the home is. There were beach chairs and towels, sand toys, a soft cooler and beach cart readily available. The hosts thought of so many details like q-tips and cotton balls, lotions and soaps and cozy blankets for snuggling on the super comfortable couches. There were games and toys for children too. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food during our stay, but we were close enough to Perkins Cove to walk to a variety of restaurants or get food delivered. Walking along the Marginal Way at sunrise was a favorite activity for us, but sunrise could easily be viewed from the upstairs bedrooms or porch as well. It was easy to access the beach, trolley, or a variety of options for coastal boat tours. We really didn’t need our cars, but could have gone on day trips if we didn’t love the house so much!

Stayed Jul 26, 2024We really enjoyed our stay. This was our first trip to Perkins Cove & Ogunquit. We enjoyed the solitude this house offers in addition to it being within easy walking distance of the foot bridge to Perkins Cove, the Marginal Way, and Ogunquit. We found this old home to be charming, and Tessa and John were great hosts. The first day we heard a smoke detector low battery beeping in the attic and John came right over to replace the battery. If we come back to Perkins Cove, we would have no hesitation staying here again. Highlights of our trip were the Puffin & Whale watch out of Boothbay Harbor, Ogunquit Beach, Coastal Maine Botanical Garden, visiting many lighthouses and eating at local restaurants.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024Charming historic home with an updated kitchen and a large porch to sit and enjoy peaceful surroundings. The owners were wonderful; very responsive and helpful as this was our first trip to the area. The proximity to Perkins Cove was one of our favorite things about our stay. So picturesque with great seafood and cute shops. Marginal Way, a paved walk along the ocean, is also a must. Ogunquit Beach is beautiful and clean. Being as lovely as it is, it’s no surprise that it is also very popular! Parking was a bit of a challenge. Also, Ogunquit has one big intersection that doesn’t have any traffic control signage and takes a bit of time and patience to get through. This makes it difficult to get to anything north of the town as well. We took the commuter rail from Newburyport to Boston for the day which was nice to avoid driving/parking in downtown Boston. Overall very enjoyable stay and a successful first trip to New England from WI!
