Newly Remodeled Whimsical 2bedroom House-Arcadia

All of the bedlinens were stained, as were the fabric sofas and all throw pillows. And the overall cleanliness of the floors, surfaces, door knobs, walls and counters was not sanitary. The walls and baseboards are all peeling/stained/dirty and require significant attention. The kitchen was not equipped for the number of people allowed in the rental. We had only two adults staying and found that three plates and the limited silverware was not sufficient (there are probably 40 bowls though!). The cookware and cutting boards were unusable even after running through the dishwasher. If the only concerns were limited kitchenware we would be more understanding, however as it was one of many factors contributing to the state of this home it felt worth mentioning. Despite buying cleaning supplies and cleaning for over two hours we did not feel safe in the house from a hygiene perspective. The dish sponge provided was used, the garbage bin was filthy inside, the laundry hamper had mold inside and every cabinet pull was sticky despite our extra cleaning, the iron and ironing board were stained and burned, and the floors were filthy. I have never provided a negative review however feel that other renters should be aware what the house is like before booking.

We arrived at the address provided at check in and the address/code given were for a nearby home that someone else was clearly staying in. Host was very easy to reach and explained that it’s another adjacent home with a different door code. Host explained “this happens sometimes with VRBO.” The house itself was the perfect layout and in a convenient location for us, but the cleanliness of the bathroom and common areas left us feeling icky. Mostly I feel that the unwashed foam bathmat, peeling/stained/dirty walls and baseboards are beyond the level of what a good turn-over cleaner can really manage. A little bit of home maintenance would go a long way for this otherwise quite lovely little place.

The house and location was great. It could have been cleaner. Air conditioning in living room took over a day to cool the area. Over all it was a good stay. Really liked that parking was in front of home. Very convenient.

Great location with easy access to all of LA. Would definitely recommend!

Came to Arcadia to see our grandsons performance in the musical Shrek at the Ahmanson Theatre.

Really enjoyed this place. Even though it's on a community drive I never heard or saw the neighbors. The wider neighborhood was very quiet as well. Each morning we walked a couple blocks to Starbucks, passing smiling faces and landscaping with fragrant flowers.
