Newly remodeled cottage with ocean views, 5 minutes to Acadia

Writer's Cove is a great place to stay very convenient to Arcadia and Bar Harbor. My brothers and I were very comfortable there.

Perfect, private location on a quiet street near downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We took a morning stroll through the quiet neighborhood in the mornings (lovely neighbors). We explored the low tide shoreline just outside our door. Hiked and photographed during the day. Ate great seafood at nearby restaurants for dinner. They also have an epic collection of puzzles, games and vinyl records for evenings. It’s a great spot for a family or a couple. We would definitely book this again!

Great location, very clean, well stocked. Gets a little cool overnight but was manageable. Great communication with owner.

This home was lovely and a perfect location for all of our activities. The gas fire was delightful in the cool evenings and our dog Chico felt right at home.

Quiet neighborhood. Great amenities including gas fireplace. Lovely patio with table for 6 overlooking water. Clean. Great shower. Dog friendly.

We loved our stay! Quick drive to Acadia national park. Close to ocean with beautiful ocean view! Would love to come back!

We loved our stay at “Writer’s Cove” cottage. It was well appointed, clean and in a convenient yet quiet location. Easy access to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Great morning sunlight and a bit of a view of the water. Nice neighborhood for walking. Excellent communication with the owner - he was very prompt with returning messages. One thing to be aware of is the stairway to the second floor is quite steep and the handrails do not go all the was to the top. We didn’t use the upstairs as it was just my husband and myself. I didn’t have an issue with the stairway, but my husband has some mobility limitations so he didn’t bother checking out the upstairs rooms. Overall a very comfortable stay at a great location. If I head back to Bar Harbor I would definitely stay here again.
