Newly built end unit townhouse with Pond views in The Peninsula!

What a great place for family to stay while visiting Peninsula for Thanksgiving. Plenty of room - clean and comfortable for everyone. Highly recommend!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We wanted to accommodate many family members but didn't have enough space on our home. One of our daughters recommended we rent a neighborhood townhouse. We followed her suggestion and it worked out perfectly. Everyone was comfortable.

House was large enough for 10 of us. Enough room to congregate in the kitchen, living room & outdoor patio; and large enough to sprawl out for down-time. House was clean; beds & couches were comfortable. Community wave pool, splash pad, and water obstacle were our kids fave part of the rental. It was a surprise to us that there was additional fee for this because it was not mentioned on the initial listing but in the end the fee was worth it for us. The only thing we would recommend would be to provide better internet. It was rather weak. Had a hard time loading websites on the iPad. Some of us switched to 5g on our phones to use the internet. FYI- the property is in a gated community. Upon arrival we were given a “pass”, which had to be scanned to be allowed into the community; there is an attendant 24 hrs.

If you are planning on working remote while staying here, it may be a good idea to link to your own hotspot as the wifi in the house lended a very weak connection. Additionally, if you don’t prefer really FIRM mattresses, bring a mattress topper. Overall, great stay!

Reviewer Comments: This rental was brand new to the market and it was immaculate, beautifully decorated, had very comfortable bedding and furniture, amazingly well stocked kitchen with lots of pans, bowls ,glasses,etc. and also little surprises like all the toilet paper, hand soap, salt, pepper, sugar you could need . The unit was so bright inside and well lit . The master bedroom and family room area had a beautiful view of a pond. This is the type of rental you hate to be honest in your review as you would like it to be available for your next visit.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great and just as pictured. We didn’t get to enjoy the back patio as there was no relief from the sun (no shade, no umbrella) and it was extremely buggy (flies the second you bring out food and swarms of gnats). Our issue overall was that it was a very strict gated community and you had to work through a third party (Berkshire Hathaway) to allow anyone into the peninsula community. We are DE locals with cousins, siblings, and grandparents who own houses in the area. We didn’t realize it would be such a pain to invite family for dinner or happy hour. This requires us to email over a list of names and then there was a disconnect between BH and the staff at Peninsula — one day my sister was turned away at the door and couldn’t come visit us. It was just way too big of a pain and it put a damper on our family vacation.

This was our first trip to Delaware and it was a pleasant surprise. The property is in the Peninsula which is a resort like residential area. Our initial thought was to drive to the beach while on vacation. We never made it because the pools here were so nice! I loved walking in the mornings and evenings, the sunrise and sunsets were fantastic. Everyone was exceedingly pleasant! There was an issue with the Wifi not supporting the work I needed to do and the owners were very responsive and had Verizon fix it on a Sunday! I was impressed and grateful for their responsiveness. The unit was very spacious and each of my two kids had their own room and bathroom as well as TVs. The unit is on a corner and has a nice amount of yard space as well. The kitchen is well appointment and the entire unit is clean and nicely decorated. The complex also has a gym but we went into town for one since our family is pretty serious about training and wanted a better equipped gym. But the one at the Peninsula is perfectly fine for a recreational gym goer. We also got a fair amount of back to school shopping done as the Tanger Outlets were near and there is no sales tax! 5/5 stars! Great location, beautiful unit, responsive hosts and realtor. We are already planning on coming back!
