Stayed Feb 14, 2026I never received any contact from the host. I emailed prior to the stay asking about an early check in with no reply. When we got there, we had to ask other guests how to get in to the house because the phone number listed wouldn't connect. The house was great, but the communication with the host could use major improvements.

Stayed Jul 4, 2019The arrival was a bit confusing for me. But only because of my assumption. I thought someone would be there for check in, and it’s more of a check yourself in type of setup. Nonetheless, Trena and Del were fantastic and super responsive. Trena was there within minutes to answer my questions, even gave us a few pointers on places to visit. The room, the room is absolutely gorgeous. The entire living area was a lot larger than we anticipated. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee. :) If I had one suggestion, it would be for a small table for eating. We made do just fine without it though. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Nov 18, 2025Del Marsalis was a great host. I had the opportunity to sit with him and had a fascinating conversation about him and his remarkable family, one of the premier musical families of a great American musical city. The apartment had everything a visitor could want all with a great location.

Stayed Nov 26, 2025Very nicely appointed property. We initially had some concerns with some surrounding properties when we first arrived, but we had no issues. People we met on the streets were friendly. Accommodations are somewhat cramped for 2 people with luggage since there is not much storage space. Very clean. Kitchen space is very limited.

Stayed Oct 17, 2025Spacious accommodation in a wonderfully restored mansion. Great location - just blocks away from the streetcar and neighborhood restaurants. Proximity of the streetcar made it possible for us to explore and meet friends without using our rental car. Our destination on our next trip to NOLA.

Stayed Oct 12, 2025Room was clean and beautiful, only about 2 blocks away from the street car which was perfect for getting around NOLA! Only cons are that the windows let in a lot of light in the bedroom in the mornings and you can easily hear other residents. The people above us were up at around 9 am so we were too. Obviously that's completely personal preference thing, but in case you're like me and like to sleep in, I recommend bringing a noise machine and an eye mask. Everything was absolutely perfect and we would 100% rebook here!

Stayed Jan 27, 2025Well-appointed suite, one block from the St Charles Streetcar line. Rode the streetcar to Canal Street and then walked into the French Quarter. Loyola, Audubon Park and Carrolton restaurants the other way. Full-service grocery (Fresh Market) also just a block away. Within 10-minute walk of Magazine Street restaurants and shops (ate breakfast and dinner at a different place every day). Great 4-night stay.

Stayed Jan 3, 2025If you're seeking to really experience Nola in a neighborhood, you need to stay here. The home itself is nothing short of majestic, a stunner that is beautifully preserved and decorated. A short walk to the oldest continuously running street car line in the world, the St. Charles line, easily takes you around town. We used The Fresh Market grocery, and recommend going to the hot deli and picking up their rotisserie chicken dinners, as everything is ready to eat and it works well with the set up of the mini fridge and microwave in the suite. The suite itself is thoughtfully decorated, with artful delights at every turn. Amenities were plentiful and as described, and the bed was comfortable. As someone who managed a VRBO for nearly a decade, I can attest that this is a spotless unit as well. Thank you Del and Trena for an unforgettable stay in a magnificent home!
