New Orleans Coastal Retreat

Our family enjoyed our week here very much. Lots of extras, we had a seafood boil, and caught many crabs and fish. The kids loved the bike. The home is comfy and we enjoyed sitting on the deck. I’m so thankful for the elevator to take our things up! We will be back

The location was great and the house had everything we needed and then some. Family of 5 with kids age 16, 13, and 11. Wish we had stayed longer. Would definitely come back!

Amazing! We are Hooked for Sure! Such a peaceful and rejuvenating stay, exactly what we needed. The Location is perfect, close enough to the city but so awesome enjoying the beauty of Louisiana nature! All the Comforts of Home and Plenty of fun! Loved fishing, caught red fish, catfish, flounder, crab and saw alligators galore!

The family loved everything about this place! We will definitely return to stay at this house again! It was very clean, organized & had everything you could possibly need available to use! We Caught many fish & crabs right from the pier & even saw 3 alligators from the pier while night fishing!

What an amazing stay! This property was not only beautiful but also fun! There was a lot to do here. We were able to fish off the dock and throw out some crab traps! We will definitely stay here again if visiting New Orleans!

Excellent contact with owner, any issues he fixed very promptly! Beautiful place, caught many crabs and a few fish, cooked our first seafood boil!! Everything you needed for an excellent trip!!

This home was perfect for our new year vacation. It is easy to do all the New Orleans city stuff and then retreat to the peaceful water side home. Owner was very helpful when we had trouble turning on the outdoor lights. He even offered suggestions for places to get dinner. We hope to return when the weather is warmer for fishing and water fun. Thanks!

Wonderful and peaceful !!

Fabulous views, wonderful fishing, easy access to the French Quarter, and a fun, comfy home! This house had it all! We took a quick trip to Rouses Market for locally sourced provisions and then settled in for our week away. Our teenagers took over the bunk room and our tween loved the second bedroom. Both bathrooms were fully stocked and much larger than expected. We took the kayaks and the John boat out for fishing and also dropped the crab pots each day. We were able to get bait right up the road at the marina and caught plenty enough for a crab boil. We spent one day exploring the French Quarter and also took a fun boat tour at Cajun Encounters. This house is truly in the middle of it all while still feeling like you are nestled in a quaint little village!

I can’t say enough good things about this property or the host! It was our second stay here and even though our trip was cut short by the hurricane it was still an amazing couple of days! The host was absolutely wonderful and stayed in touch about the weather and helped us through the process of having to leave early. We can’t thank him enough!

Good size place with beautiful views over marsh. Not quite as clean as expected with limited toiletries; however, contacted owner and quick responses and good communication. Catching blue crabs off dock was a special treat.

We loved our stay at this amazing house on Lake Catherine. The house is clean, nicely decorated, easy check in, and the kitchen is very stocked, We loved the screened in porch and the private dock (our first time using crab traps). The outside area is peaceful and the view goes on for miles. We made trips into New Orleans and the Slidell area with no issues. Would stay here again.

This place was absolutely perfect. The hospitality is over and above 10 out of 10!! Couldnt have asked for a better way to experience Louisiana and New Orleans. Perfect! Highly recommend!

Perfect spot for a family getaway. Beautiful quiet location with fishing, crabbing, and boating. The house had everything we needed. The owner was easy to work with. Highly recommend!

We caught a lot of crabs but not so much fish. Only one big red fish and a few small croakers and small trout which we threw back in the lake. We saw two alligators also. We will definitely rent again. Thanks for everything.
