New! Luxurious 5-bedroom home on Lake Michigan w/hot tub and lake access—Mears

This was probably the best property we’ve rented in the last decade through VRBO. Beautiful location, secluded, safe, and a beautiful home with beautiful views overlooking like Michigan. We will definitely try to stay here again as long as it stays affordable.. great place for a large family with kids and adults to hang out, watch TV, play games.

Moms weekend was great. We hope to book again next year!

Best family vacation the lake house was beautiful. Plenty of space for the whole family. Every room was stocked from the kitchen to the bathrooms even tons of games and coloring books for everyone. The weather was amazing for the beach and the hot tub. Sunsets out of this world. Can’t wait to return!!

This is a lovely, spacious house, with great amenities. The kitchen is well equipped. The master suite on top floor with balcony is luxurious! We were a family of five, all adults, and we spread out through the house quite comfortably. The outside deck space we used all during the day and evening. We made a few fun trips into Pentwater and Ludington which are only 30-40 minutes away by car. Steffany and Doug are gracious and attentive hosts. We were having trouble figuring out the TV the first night, and Doug made himself available by phone to help us work it out.

The property is everything you could ask for. Our family especially liked the sitting area just off the kitchen with great views of Lake Michigan (kind of our early morning gathering area) and the dining area with plenty of room for 10. The hosts were quick to respond to any of our questions.

A superb location with gorgeous lake views and private lake access. Hosts are gracious, generous, and helpful. The lake house is very well equipped, with clear instructions provided for use. Great for family gatherings, swimming, kayaking and hiking. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

We enjoyed everything in the house, the view, the jacuzzi, stairs that lead to a private beach. This house has it all. They thought of everything to make your vacation incredible. The way it is distributed, it fits a large family with 5 rooms. We will definitely return.

Private, spacious, gorgeous Lake Michigan view. It was a great space for us to make dinner, play games, hang for the time we were there for our retreat. Everyone wants to come back in the summer. I recommend the winter too!

This is an excellent home right on the shores of Lake Michigan. The lake side of the home has great views with windows all the way across. The main bedroom is on the upper level with floor to ceiling windows facing the water. Steffany is a great host, communicated all needed information in a timely manner! The home was decorated very nice, we all had a very nice stay.

We can’t say enough about the beautiful home on Lake Michigan! We were there for a family wedding in November and enjoyed every minute of the stay. The property had everything we needed and so much more. Everyone had plenty of space and thoroughly enjoyed all of the extra games and accommodations. The views were amazing and the sounds of the waves from the lake created such a peaceful experience. Our only regret is we didn’t stay longer!

We had an amazing relaxing time! We enjoyed the hot tub and game table! It was very clean and beautiful inside and out! And spectacular views! Would absolutely stay again!

We loved this house. On the top flour and the basement level, there are master suites that are huge and beautifully decorated with separate setting areas. The main floor also has two seating areas so there is tons of room. The view is beautiful and we spent a lot of time just enjoying it. The kitchen is well stocked and the furniture is like new.

This was one of the most beautiful properties I have ever rented! The owners were so quick to answer any questions we had and had the house set up with instructions perfectly!!!! It was also so nice that they had stocked the house with all the necessities that were needed and check out was a dream….so easy! We definitely want to go back!

This house was absolutely perfect for our girls trip/wine weekend! We were so pleased with the space- there was plenty of room, the house was super clean, and the view was stunning! Would definitely stay here again!

This house had it all: enough room for family of 12, ages 1 to 73, to reunite for a week of fun and sun; super comfortable king mattresses and good bed configurations to accommodate single adults; games, TVs, magazines and books for those non-beach lovers; close proximity to dunes, restaurants, grocery stores, beaches; beautiful setting with a large yard and gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. Kitchen has adequate counter space and cooking equipment, but needs a large 12-15” saute pan to ideally prepare food for 12. We had a wonderful stay!

This place has everything you need to ensure a perfect vacation! The cottage is beautiful and the sunsets can’t be beat. The host has thought of everything, provides a binder of helpful hints and videos and is available if you have any questions. The cottage is located close to the Silver Lake sand dunes, Little Sable Point lighthouse, Hart and Pentwater, just to name a few fun things to do. We all had a great week!

Beautiful home with great views of the lake. Stairs down to the lake were fine for us but it's definitely something to take into consideration with little ones, elderly or handicapped individuals. Communication with owners was good, there are a lot of rules/instructions to follow (QR codes for videos) which is understandable for a house that size but not exactly what you want to do when you arrive from a long drive. I recommend less videos and more bullet points. I also recommend alerting guests when service people arrive. We had set up our games outside and 5 minutes later the lawn service arrived and we had to move it all. We also were about to jump in the jacuzzi tub after a swim when two service men arrived to shock it. Oddly enough that's all they did, not even a vacuum. Notice would have been nice. Two canoes and some other water items are available after signing waivers. With the price paid for this house the water items should not be complimentary but rather included. This was our first experience with these items being referred to a complimentary. I think the waivers are definitely necessary but should be a part of the contract. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need as far as appliances, just bring a good knife. Lot's of games and a game table was a plus for us. Overall the home and location to the lake was wonderful. Great for large groups and families. Lovely place to stay.
