New Large Luxury Beachfront Private Home and Pool with breakwater views

Villa de Luz is perfect in every way. The management (Maricel) is infinitely helpful, friendly and responsive. The staff (Hilda, Jose, Jorge et al) are meticulous, friendly and unobtrusive. The home is breath taking both inside and out. The location can’t be beat in terms of balancing access to the beach and walkable to restaurants and shops.

House was beautiful and as described. Location was great, Marisel was a very nice and accommodating host. Problem is with ownership and their absurd rules. Had another family staying down the road from us who came to join us for dinner and play some games together. Was told by Marisel that the owners heard about this and would not allow our friends to visit for dinner or join us for board games after. Only the exact number of people on the reservation. Ridiculous- in all my years of renting nice houses and enjoying beautiful rentals, this has never happened. Also. The maids made things nice and clean and did a nice job, it felt like we were being spied on daily. Last minute, we had 2 additional friends join the kids and didn’t think anything of it. However, the morning after our arrival I received an email from the owner to the effect of, “you have 2 more people than you initially placed on the reservation. Pay Marisel $1500 now or the police will come and kick you out”. First, why not state something more to the effect of, “I understand you have additional guests, this requires $XX additional, etc”. I was shocked, both by the time and the fact that I needed to pay that additional amount. With my hands tied, I went to an ATM and got the $ and made my ransom payment. Very awkward with the staff the rest of the stay (though again, don’t fault Marisel, she’s just following the orders) In sum, gorgeous house, very clean, great location, horrible service and follow-up from owner (friends can’t come over for dinner!!??) so would neither recommend this house nor consider staying there again.

From the very start, booking and asking questions has never been easier. My family of 10 (plus a baby) has been vacationing in Santa Teresa for the last 3 years. Not only did this house fit our large group perfectly we were able to wash our hands of all the tedious vacation organization. The house manager, Marisel went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of before and during our stay. Communication was quick and effective, we had ATVs waiting for us at the house, a taxi service was arranged for us and she helped arrange the private chef. The house was beyond amazing and our first time staying on the beach, which was a game-changer! I was worried about the sun exposure with my 7-month-old but the house was the perfect setup for my small family, the pool and direct beach was 70%-80% shaded. This was huge for me as we did not need to travel with umbrellas and a lot of beach/pool essentials. If you are looking for a place to enjoy with your group/family this is the house and crew for you!

This home was perfect for my large family gathering. Spacious, large bedrooms with incredible baths in each room, we could not have asked for more. Luxury at its finest. Every detail thought of and the staff made the trip extra special. My family was so happy, the beach at your front door and the best!!! .

The location is priceless. On the best beach of santa Teresa but also walking distance to good restaurants.. Amazing yoga classes a short drive away. Surfing in front of the house. The House is easy to use, the kitchen is great (Dishwasher might need replacement), the outdoor dining is fabulous with the sound of the ocean right there, the garden is very well maintained , the living room is large and welcoming and the bedrooms are all very comfortable . The service and the caretaker were all amazingly helpful. Our only issue was maybe that all showers did not work amazingly so it makes it a fabulous house for a week, but not necessarily for a month stay. We will come back again in that very house as we absolutely felt blessed by the place. (A family of 10)

Really nice place, very well equipped and very spacious. Great location for surfing. Has to be one of the nicest places in north Santa Teresa.

Everything about villa de Luz was amazing! We were sad to leave. Walking in through the large front door to the calming water walkway was refreshing. The house is very clean and the housekeepers daily were great and much appreciated. The pool was perfect for our young twins and the surf was perfect for my older surfer son. Everything worked properly. The beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked and air worked when needed. My kids loved finding the little crabs that would make there way in to the water walkway! We will certainly be back!

The house and property are better than the beautiful pictures. It is well equipped and comfortable both inside and outside. It is clear that a great deal of thought was put into the detailed design and construction. The staff is phenomenal in that they are incredibly responsive and attentive. Especially, Alejandra the Concierge, who was available upon a moments notice and seemed to magically be able to meet any need you might have regardless of whether it was dinner reservations, board rentals, surfing lessons, yoga, golf cart rental or anything else you could possibly want. The location is so beautiful it is difficult to put into words. You will wake up every morning in awe of the view and what the area has to offer. However, it is watching the sunset each night from this gorgeous location that will leave you amazed. It is a magnificent place to stay and our family had a truly memorable and wonderful holiday. We cannot wait to come back again!
