The house was just as described cute and cozy. It was in great proximity of places we visited. The only problem was for staying 10 days was the limited amount of necessities. Being a family we can’t always eat out so we cooked a lot and did not certain things were limited.
Check in was super easy. The house was better than expected and the screened in patio area is amazing at night. Everything was super clean and we had everything we needed. We had two kids with us and they loved it. The location is great, it's super close jekyll island and tons to eat in the downtown area
I did not stay at this property. There was mold on the furniture which made it impossible and a health hazard to stay. The house smelled. I had to book a room at a hotel. The owners minimized the situation and refused to refund me. I have pics of the green mold. Read the reviews and don't stay at this property
Enjoyed our stay. The home was close to everything we wanted to do on vacation. Would consider this home again.
Great location to downtown Brunswick and Jekyll Island. Nice place to stay for a long weekend. Quiet neighborhood.
Really loved this house. Easy access to surrounding Islands. Nice area
Excellent hours and nice location. Loved the screened in porch.
We enjoyed our stay here. The property is located where you can reach St.Simons and Jekyll Islands both in about 15 minutes. The house is nicely decorated but needs a thorough cleaning.
The property was renovated about five years with classic cottage design. Lots of nice touches. The problem is maintenance. The initial impression from the parking area is a broken flower box, an older rusting grill, and a porch that needed to be cleaned. At first we were happy with the interior, but then we noticed that many of the light bulbs needed to be replaced, including the outside one over the door combo. At first the hosts seemed eager to solve the problem, but after a few days all we had was one outside bulb replaced and a bag of bulbs hung on the door handle. After that there was no communication from the host. Several of the area rugs should be cleaned or replaced. The kitchen flatware drawer contained no knives. The outside screened porch also needed some attention. The first bedroom had no usable closet for clothing. The second bedroom had a beautiful wall of storage closets, but it had no door, no privacy. The first bath was full of storage with a lovely walkin shower. The second bath had no place to hang a robe or even a towel. The location was great with a great deli across the street and lots of places to walk. There was so much to like about this little house. This was our 13th rental of this type. With a few adjustments, this place would be great.
Although the listing stated 2 bedrooms, one had a door that didn’t close since there was nothing for it to latch into and the other room with a bed had no door at all. There were no garbage bags in the kitchen and no broom although there was a dustpan. . The interior of the gas grill was rusted out and not usable. The cottage was well heated since it was very cold and nicely decorated. The location was close to the historic district and walkable had it not been so cold. Appliances worked well and the gas stove was a nice surprise! When we arrived, there was a note on one of the trash cans that they didn’t pick it up because there was trash in the recycle bin. There should be clear direction in a note in the cottage about recycling so all trash gets picked up. It would be nice if there were tongs in the kitchen and knives besides the steak knives. Also, there were several lids but not pots to match and no frying pan. Kitchen was not very well equipped.
Great time checking out Jykel Island!!
Very clean space and the perfect location in Brunswick.
We stayed in this little house in August and it was so charming and had everything we needed. It is located in a historic neighborhood in Brunswick and it was so interesting driving around and seeing all the old houses in the area. We felt very safe at this location. The house is also very close to the Yellow Deli, you can walk there easily, and they have great food. Also a great location for beaches, a short drive to Jekyll Island and St. Simons. The house was very cute and well equipped and we loved it. Very unique place. We loved the dining table, the high ceilings, the washer and dryer, a great shower, and the porch was fantastic. The Roku TV took some figuring out but also a lot there to choose from. Overall this is a great place to stay.
Very easy, host was Amazing Great place
The house worked well for our visit. Three men on a fishing weekend. There is plenty of parking around the back side of the house for a boat and vehicles. We also parked on the street with no issues.
The house was clean and very cozy. Located in historical Brunswick, GA. it was a short drive to both Jekyll and St. Simon island. The house was spacious enough for myself and two friends and we enjoyed our stay very much. I felt safe and secure at night and I can’t wait to come back again.
We had a great stay! The screened in porch is particularly great and we spent a lot of time out there. The house is in a lovely neighborhood (I saw a few reviews that said the neighborhood doesn't feel safe--we did not feel that way at all), near some great restaurants (VERY highly recommend Indigo Coastal Shanty), and convenient to the beaches on St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. Good things to know, especially if you are traveling with kids: 1) there is a bathtub (and with a handheld shower attachment, so hosing kids down is easy), 2) the second bedroom does not have a door, as other reviews have noted, and 3) the main bedroom door does not latch so it is always slightly open, and the door to the bathroom connected to the main bedroom is slatted, meaning there is not a lot of privacy in that bathroom. Also, they tell you this before you go, but they provide 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom and you need to bring extra. Overall we had a great stay and loved the space. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the area!
