Delve into the rich history of the property, originally crafted in the 1950s by renowned architect Serge Chermayeff, a luminary of modernist design and friend to architectural legends Eero Saarinen and Marcel Breuer. As you ascend the stairs, take note of Chermayeff's masterful shingle mixed media piece, a testament to the enduring legacy of design and innovation.

The Neighborhood:
Oceanside
House needs updating. No electric plugs in bathrooms. Many Plugs elsewhere needed adapters Roof leaked in 3 places during rain. Had damp smell. Tv was on headphone mode Would not switch back Could not get sound. Lighting was dark. Could use more lighting.
This is a lovely spot—unique home in a very cool location that’s perfect for fall. Being able to walk through the woods to the beach was a special treat. Very clean property and responsive management.
We had a great time. Loved the house. Close to ocean and ponds. Setting in the woods. Easy trip to town. We'll be back for sure.
Loved staying here and hopefully will be back!
This property has a lot of great things going for it . It’s very quiet , beautiful views , lovely paths to beach and ponds . The house and cottage are roomy and group friendly . The heater worked great and the kitchen was functional. I always bring my own knifes and my sauté pan and I was glad I did . The only thing I would complain about was that the house needed some maintenance and the bathrooms didn’t seem very clean especially the tubs but overall we really enjoyed our stay and we go out back again. It would’ve been nice to of the house manual had some instructions for that in room heaters remote controls in for the remote controls for the TV which we never did get to work
Perfection
The house was just as represented. On top of a rise in the woods with a large buffer around it, it offered a very different experience to my previous Cape stays. A path thru the woods lead to Newcomb beach - nice to walk there for a change! We plan to book again for next year.
This house in one of the most beautiful places on the cape! .4 miles to newcomb hollow, near gull pond, secluded and quiet. The house is older than the pictures suggest, we had torrential rain and the roof leaked in a few places. The bathrooms are redone except for the showers. The mattresses left us all sore. The kitchen is very well stocked as far as cooking utensils and pots and pans and things. The screened in porch is an absolute oasis. The small cabin is really cute, the outdoor shower has no walls, just a spout outside but it looks into the woods. All in all we had a great time there, the location can't be beat.
Love the property set up on a hill and short walk through the woods to the beach.
The best of both worlds fantastic beach access and calm still lake also! The decor is sublime
