Cozy, adequately furnished, but dust and allergans were brought out by the dust in the airconditioner vents and the dust/ in the bathroom vent fan. So we all had allergies brought out and could not turn on a/c' s after the 1st night. If cleaning crew would just vacuum out the a/c vents and bath room vent it would have been perfect!

We spent a long weekend here. The house was small but served it’s purpose for our weekend getaway. The owner was very responsive to my many questions before our trip. We would stay here again for a Narraganset/Newport weekend.

This property is a nicely kept, rustic cottage on a private road with beach access (swimming and some watercraft) on the beautiful Narrow River. If you are looking for peace and quiet, I recommend this place wholeheartedly. It is in a perfect location to explore the area, being close to Newport, Narragansett (incl. Point Judith, where there is ferry access to Block Island) and Matunuck, among many other interesting stops along Route 1A. The area is full of nature conservancy efforts, land-trusts, farms, and state parks, making it a wonderful place to explore nature’s gifts. I thought the cottage was well-priced for its size and the high season/late booking. It is cozy, but comfortable. One of the two full bedrooms is much smaller than the other so I would not necessarily rent this property for 2 adult couples for an extended stay. The bathroom is quite tiny/not really shareable unless one person is in the shower. The kitchen is also compact and does not lend itself to preparing large sit-down meals, but there are so many great options for eating out or ordering in within a 15-20 minute drive (and I am a foodie snob). There is a large, well-maintained backyard that includes a wooden deck with a 4 seat dining table and a paved area with a chimena, as well as a fire pit. I thoroughly enjoyed building a fire on my last night there. Maria was a great host, we never met personally as I had a lot of challenges with regard to my planned arrival time but she was flexible and made sure that I could get in to the property when I did finally arrive on my check-in date. She was attentive to messages and was very receptive to feedback. I advised her that the cottage had been less than clean (bathroom, clean! dusting and floors not so much) when I arrived and she was happy for the information to discuss with her cleaner. Maria is also a talented artist and her artwork adorns many of the walls of the cottage. With regard to the host’s specs and earlier reviews: My personal walking pace (49 year old in reasonably good shape) to reach the local beach was about 10-15 minutes downhill and it is all downhill/uphill so those challenged by a somewhat steep walk (or bike ride) back from the beach may want to drive – there does appear to be some parking. I am happy to report that the previously reviewed bedroom damp smell is gone and the host has installed a dehumidifier as well as an air-cleaner/sanitizer. I would definitely recommend this property, or rent it again.

My two friends and I had a great stay here over Labor Day weekend. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was a great location to get to the beach, local restaurants, and even a trip to Newport. Maria was very responsive and helpful. We echo her recommendation of Brickley’s ice cream!

Everything was as explained. Check in was flawless. You only got 2 passes to the Narragansett resident beach. There were four of us and we had trouble getting in as they told us only two of us would be able to get in. After discussions, they just let us go through. Only thing was the back bedroom was extremely small and it had a musty odor to it. Nothing really to be done it's a summer cottage, but it did make all of my clothes and things smell upon departure. The bathroom shower is only a standup and the bathroom is extremely narrow. Not the best choice for our 6ft plus and muscle wide companions. But, our time was lovely. Thank you! Back yard was great. Fire pit was perfect.

A very quiet neighborhood to relax in the back yard. Close to all Narragansett beaches and activities. Small cottage but enough room for my granddaughter and me. There is a slight smell in one bedroom and the TV only gets Netflix. Maria was very attentive to my calls. We did enjoy our stay!

Charming cottage in great central yet quiet location. Lovely landscaping and shady yard. Local beaches were clean and not crowded. restaurants Suggested by host were first rate. Everyone in area was complying with face covering ordinance.

We had a great time at the cottage. The tv is a little wonky but ultimately works and there is a slight slight smell I. The bathroom maybe from the plumbing but overall a delight
