Nancy’s Touch, named after the amazing woman who developed and maintained the beautiful gardens, is situated in one of the best locations available on the northern end of the Chesapeake. From sunrise to sunset, the view of the juncture of the three rivers (the North East, Susquehanna, and Elk) that merge to create the Chesapeake Bay commands your attention. Soaring osprey, bald eagles, great blue heron and other waterfowl delight as well.

This one-acre property has been in the same family since the 1920’s, and we look forward to now sharing it with others. The one-story home features:
• large “river room” with an amazing view, sitting and informal dining area
• great room featuring a large congenial living space with TV
• formal dining area
• fully equipped kitchen
• laundry room with washer, dryer and pantry located off the kitchen
• large master bedroom with a queen size bed
• two additional bedrooms; one with a queen and one with twin beds
• all bedrooms have water views
• two baths
• game room complete with a pinball machine, foosball table, and baseball game
• outdoor deck, patio seating, and covered deck near waterfront
• lush lawn and garden areas directly accessible from the river room
• well behaved, mature dogs allowed for a nightly fee (Absolute limit is two dogs, and a full description will be required prior to approval); a large, fully fenced yard is available to them directly from the laundry room
• two single kayaks, two stand up paddle boards and life preservers
• recommend bringing water shoes, as the beach is rocky
• main entrance of home is wheelchair accessible; remainder of home is not ADA

This is such a beautiful home and property. It was a perfect spot for family games surrounded by an incredible view. The home is so well stocked, and the hosts are wonderful to interact with. We can’t wait to return in the summer when we can access the water!

The property was nicely appointed with very comfortable rooms and a wonderful ambiance. The kitchen was well stocked, which made it a pleasure to cook. All around it was a very lovely respite from the daily responsibilities of “real life”.

This was our third stay and we lucked out with beautiful weather. We were outside the whole time we stayed. We invited our good friends who stayed for a night and they loved the place too. Our dog Moe also loves the fenced yard and our strolls around the beautiful garden. Thanks for sharing your home!

Nancy’s Touch is a gorgeous home set right on the water. Very secluded with a gated entry for security. The home and property are well maintained. We really enjoyed the beautiful gardens around the house. The house is tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture. We loved all the original paintings, many by the owner. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. We loved exploring the area with all the shops, antiques and fabulous food. The only negative we had was the pillows could use an upgrade. We were a group of senior ladies and we all want to comeback.

Pet-friendly property with so many outdoor areas to choose from. The fenced area for dogs is ample and completely enclosed - something we rarely find when searching for rentals. What a delight to see evidence of Nancy's love of gardening. Paths wend among planting beds, with benches for quiet contemplation. This is a home we will return to.

This was our second stay at Nancy’s Touch. It’s a beautiful setting, right on the northern reaches of the Bay. You will notice speedboats of course, especially on weekends, but they are usually far off shore and quiet. You will also notice many shorebirds, geese, and osprey. One osprey landed on top of the whale weathervane you see in the picture on this site! The kitchen is well-stocked, and the propane grill was easy to use - and we used it quite a bit. There are restaurants in town, but on our second trip we decided to cook our own dinners, family style.

Lovely and relaxing. Even our excitable westie is calm. We spent our days just reading, stitching, playing in the side yard with our westies and visiting local restaurants.

We stayed here as a staycation while we moved. It was a welcomed rest and relaxation spot. It has an amazing view, great space. I could definitely see ourselves staying there again… even though we are locals to the area.

It seems like I always choose to go on vacation during the hottest week of the year, and this year was no different. But sitting on the deck at Nancy's Touch overlooking the river and feeling the breeze pass by, it was easy to forget that it was actually 98 with a real feel of 107.The house is beautifully appointed, and well stocked with everything you could possibly need for a lovely week away. My adult son and his girlfriend joined me, and enjoyed using the kayaks to cool off in the river. They spied osprey nests containing chicks on the pylons as well as an eagle's nest, and we saw and heard birds of prey soaring and hunting as well as many other birds every day, which was a huge bonus to a birdwatcher like me.But the gardens are what makes Nancy's Touch truly special. So many different flowers, including many pollinator attractors to bring butterflies up close and personal. I unfortunately had to return home early, but I'm planning to come back in the fall for a solo adventure. The kids stayed and enjoyed the rest of the week, and we all got a long overdue rest. Book this place. You will absolutely not be sorry. It's clearly well cared for and much loved, and provides a wonderful respite from an increasingly crazy world.

We spent 10 days here, and it was a relaxing and restful vacation. We visited nearby towns but also were happy to just stay and enjoy sitting by the bay or watching from the river room. The weather was not great - dreary and no sunsets - but we still had a good time! The house had everything we needed and just felt like home. Would definitely return and hope for sunshine!

The property is rancher style, everything on one floor. Very nicely furnished. Beds very comfortable. Wonderful fenced in yard. Nice deck on the water, nice place to fish or just look at the water.. and nice patio. The property sits on a peninsula on the water across the bay from Havre de Grace. Located in North East Md. A lot of history there, founded in the 1650s. If you like birds, a wide variety. And the owners have binoculars in the Florida room (enclosed room with a great view of the water). Nice restaurants nearby. A few miles away across the North East River is the Wellwood Restaurant in Charlestown. Very historic. Loved our visit. The owners are very nice to deal with if you have a question.

My family of 4 plus my sister and brother in law made this our home base for UD drop off, coming from IL. It was the most perfect place to relax and enjoy the Chesapeake Bay. So spacious and had everything we could possibly need. North East is a cute town for shopping and eating. Would love to stay again. Thank you!

We had another wonderful stay during our third visit to this lovely property. We took our teenage niece and nephew this time, and had fun playing games, paddle boarding and crabbing. As always, the dogs loved swimming every day and playing in their own private, fenced yard. We completed our visit with a takeout seafood dinner from Woody’s. We can’t wait to come back again next year!

Fantabulous Fan-tab-u-lous, adjective, American English slang, marvelously good. This lovely home is situated away from the tourist bustle of downtown North East. The home's exterior is surrounded by beautiful gardens that attract an array of harmless critters. The quiet is broken only by the Osprey calling each other. The inside of the home is just as charming as the outside. The kitchen has every gadget you may desire including those that you will probably never use such as waffle makers and a slow cooker. Off the kitchen is the more formal of the two dining tables. The living room is comfortable and boasts a big screen TV and a gas fireplace. The highlight of the home for us was the “river room”. This room has floor to ceiling windows and overlooks the bay. In the river room, there is a less formal dining table perfect for breakfast and dinners watching the sunset. The owners have thoughtfully supplied binoculars and guidebooks to the flora and fauna. While we did not bring our dog with us, there was an ample yard. Not pictured on the website is a newly constructed covered deck by the edge of the water. This is a perfect place to sit on the Adirondack chairs and read a book or take in the birds (including eagles). In short, a fantabulous VRBO.
