The property is in a great location and the pool outside was fantastic for our purposes. We had a few nice meals at home by cooking on the grill outside and using the kitchen. The kitchen and dining area are very comfortable and spacious, but the rest of the house doesn’t have great sitting areas. The only word of caution I’d give is the master bedroom upstairs is accessed by a spiral staircase that could be tough for anybody with any mobility issues. It’s a very tight space and we couldn’t even bring a suitcase up the stairs. The master bedroom and bathroom is super nice though.

Unique house, lovely pool. Plumbing issues were unfortunate but handles well by the owner.

The place was immaculate from the time we walked in. The pool was kept clean at all time. It was so easy coming and going we plan on running your property as often as we can.

A great week down the shore! We had such a lovely time at the house. The host is attentive, accommodating and friendly. The downstairs showers were a little difficult to get in and out of but wasn’t that big of a deal.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay here. The property owner was incredible. She answered a message to an issue we were having within minutes and the problem was fixed the same day (on 4th of July weekend). The property was clean and the pool was amazing!

So… There were pluses and minuses to this property. Pool was clean and ready for use on Day 1 which was great. The house definitely has a weird layout but the most challenging part is the spiral staircase up to the Primary bed/bath (The only updated bath, I might add). The two downstairs baths are pretty disgusting. Some amenities were well taken care of - plenty of Ziplock bags & pool towels! But the house doesn’t seem to have any hooks for towels, which left them sour smelling very quickly. The gas oven needed to be lit with a lighter (We could only ever get 2 burners working) If someone has mobility issues, this house should not be booked!!

This is our third time renting at this beach house. We love the location. Very short walk or bike ride into town and to the beach. We love the house. We are a family of five and our teens love using the apartment that is attached to the house but has a separate entrance. Between the main house and the apartment we all fit comfortably. The back yard was always the selling point for us. The house has a big yard with an inground pool. We use the pool daily after the beach while we bbq dinner outback. The hosts are amazing. They respond to all questions immediately and they take care of anything that needs attention immediately. There are many good restaurants close by and Hoffman’s ice cream is within walking distance. Our two personal go-to favorites are Sundae Times in Spring Lake and Rod’s in Sea Girt. We look forward to our next Spring Lake vacation here.

Very pretty home with all the necessary conveniences in the kitchen (we are big cookers). The house itself is chopped up a little strangely so I didn't feel like my whole family of 7 could really gather comfortably in one room at the same time, except maybe the kitchen. The fireplace is in the middle of the house and it's beautiful but not very important for a summer rental and it's what contributes to making the house feel very broken up. Only the one master bathroom was gorgeous and my whole family shared it for showering purposes, but the others are kind of dated and this meant our bedroom wasn't terribly private. The extra apartment in the back worked well for my teens and it can serve the right group dynamic nicely but for a single family it means sleeping in separate houses. The pool is gorgeous and was so nice to have. The house is kind of far from the beach. Easier to drive or bike there.

Very nice home with separate apartment with kitchen and bathroom. Large kitchen with big table that seats all. Narrow spiral staircase leads up to master bedroom. We had an issue with a leak from toilet in apartment. Owners replied and remedied immediately. Playgrounds and downtown less than 1 mile away.

We spent a week here. The house is neat. Old but updated nicely inside, except 2 downstairs bathrooms. They're not updated, but were clean. Pool and pool deck are nice, kids enjoyed that. 6 blocks to the beach makes it sound closer to beach than it really is. It's 0.9 miles, straight down Brighton Ave, to the beach. Not that close. About a 15 minute walk for us. Also, this house sits about 75 yards from a commuter train rail. We heard trains at 1130pm, 130am, 430am, 530am, during our stay. The train is very close, and very loud. A white noise machine is a must if you want to sleep. On our last night, the smoke/CO alarms went off at about 545am and woke everyone up. Lastly, was bugs. There were a lot of bugs (spiders, mosquitos, gnats, flies) inside the house, at least more than we're used to. The house was clean, but the bugs were prevalent.
