Muletown’s Retreat is in a quaint well established neighborhood and a hop skip and a jump from the heart of Muletown’s downtown district. Walking distance to many Restaurants, Hangouts, Antique shops, Coffee Shops, Breweries, Wine tasting, Boutiques, Bars and other unique shops and even a Church. First Friday’s the downtown has food trucks and the local downtown businesses stay open later. The farmers market is right around the corner for fresh veggies. There is a splashpad that the kiddos love within walking distance. An outdoor fitness area also is the perfect way to get in a nice workout right around the corner. There is an entrance to Riverwalk at the end of the street and a nice place for a leisurely stroll or a great place to walk Fido. There are many little paths and entrances to fishing holes. Frank’s shop has fishing passes and live bait to use with the fishing poles and cooler provided by Muletown’s Riverside Retreat. Get some snacks have a picnic and try some fishing for the day. Online fishing permits / passes are available with a smart phone. The property has a charm all its own with a retro feel while remaining a nice Retreat from it all. The small privacy fenced back yard hangout is my favorite place to unwind. We have a picnic grill and a one of a kind fence bar out back. There are smart tvs in all the bedrooms and the living room and recreation room with YouTube tv, Netflix all waiting for you. Pool table , mini fridge and lots of board games all found in the recreation room. Take the cornhole boards out and enjoy some down home fun! We have provided a couple of bicycles for you to cruise the neighborhood or downtown area or load up and enjoy biking and hiking trails nearby. You will find many accommodations throughout this little retreat walking distance to the up and coming Muletown’s square.

From the stairwell up, the 2nd floor has all of the attributes of a vintage 1940's cottage...hardwood floors, stained wood staircase railing, intricate trim around doors windows and floor. Old brass door hardware and knobs...hinges need stripped of paint to complement the doors..even the ancient, retired now, electric wall heater have thier old charm and remind me of the1940's bygone days...there are several modern led filament type light bulbs which provide a warm glow but there are 3 led bulbs in livingroom ceiling fan that belong in an opaque fixture... All kinds of cooking spices and condiments are in the cottage kitchen...but to warm your bagel, donut or whatnot you have to decend the stairs to the rec room to find the microwave... The shiny Kracken that lives in the rec room was a surprise...as was the half bath...which we had more time to utilize My companion does not like microfiber sheets nor do I and she also discovered this a.m. there is no 110v outlet in jack n jill bathroom...

Cute home in a nice area and close enough to the river that we could walk to it for a stroll. Beds upstairs were very comfortable and the sitting area was very nice. Easy parking. Communication with the host, Mercedes, was very good.

Response was good when we had trouble with the door lock. The washer leaked and we had to go downstairs from the kitchen to use the microwave. Much smaller than we anticipated and several stairs for us old folks. Accommodations were clean but overly decorated crowded with furniture and accessories. Very, very small fenced in area for the dog and several pieces of furniture in the area.

The property is charming, but small areas. In my opinion not appropriate for large dogs. Small to medium only.My husband wanted to alert you about the pool table since he has an avid pool table player, that the cue sticks need chalk. Maybe replace the sticks.Neighborhood is charming and safe!

Everything stood out as excellent, I guess it's the little decorative touches that made it feel like an experience as opposed to just a place to stay.

Everything was great except for the dogs behind the property bark all day and all night. Cant walk your dogs without them trying to come thru the fence. And the outside fenced in area definitely needs some attention. Other than that everything was good.

Cute and cozy house in a sweet little neighborhood. Loved our stay. The only drawback for us was that the common living spaces were tight for the 5 of us, but we made it work and enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful space! Playful room downstairs and comfy peaceful room upstairs. The most clean rental I have ever seen! Pet friendly but you would never guess a pet had visited prior to your arrival. I recommend to any traveler in the area and if I need to come through the area again I will definitely rebook.

It was the perfect lil place for the wknd as we stayed in Columbia to visit family. My kids really enjoyed having so many board game options and a pool table for when it was crazy rainy. My husband enjoyed the decor and the record player. Thanks again!

We stopped here for a couple nights on our way to Florida. The property was just as described. Had some rainy weather while we were here, so loved the pool table and great selection of board games. Short walk to park, downtown, shops and restaurants. Had everything we needed. Very cute, clean and cozy.

We renting this carriage house apartment for seven (7) adults who were spending Thanksgiving with family who lived nearby. There were no other rentals for our size of group and we depended on the sofabed and the fold out twin in the downstairs game room to accommodate us as it was advertised to sleep seven (7). Not only was the downstairs space unheated (it was 30 degrees outside), but the sofabed was unbearable. The owner graciously responded to our issues by quickly delivering a brand new Coleman blow up mattress with extra blankets. I would recommend this place for groups of four (4) or less during the winter. The living area and kitchen upstairs is comfortable for four as well.

This property was as described - if you like bar games and board games, this is definitely the place! The host allowed our extra large older dogs an Elsa 94 pounds and Tobin 188 pounds. We had a great meal at the dog friendly Buck and Board in Columbia. This property is merely 1 1/2 blocks from the park, where dogs are welcome! We would definitely stay again!

Very cute place, alittle tight but cute. Could use alittle updating downstairs with the open ventilation. We killed a couple of spiders downstairs and Im pretty sure they came from the ceiling being unfinished. Even so I eould stay again.

10/10 stay! So close to downtown Columbia, perfect retro vibe. Our family loved it! Would 100% recommend. The only thing that was a bit of a bummer was the aggressive dogs next door. Obviously, not the owner's fault but man those dogs seem vicious and bark at all hours. Other than that....perfect!
