Mountain Top Getaway w/ Pool & Hot tub!

Loved the hot tub! Spacious and bright.

We stayed in this vacation rental in October 2024 with 9 people (6 adults + 3 children). First the positive things: the house is huge and offered plenty of space for all family members. The pool is nice and big and there were comfortable loungers. There were 4 TVs in the house and a large garage with a billiard table. The house managers responded very quickly to questions. What we liked less was the difference between the online advertisement and reality. The kitchen was poorly equipped, especially if you book the house with 6+ people, e.g. no classic toaster, no egg cups and spoons, old and worn pots and pans. The kitchen cupboards were dirty, in general there were some dirty corners that caught the eye over the whole house. The drains in the bathroom sinks were dirty and rusty, the rattan material of the outdoor chairs was broken, the cushions on the outdoor sofa were foxed, the windows had not been cleaned for a long time, the access to the house was muddy due to the irrigation system. All in all, one had the feeling that the high price per day is not justified for the house. After a few days you get used to a lot and we enjoyed our stay, but I would not book the villa again.

The home was just as described. I like that the home had a private entry and was very spacious. Our group consistec of two families with a total of six children from 5-18 years old. We all had a great time and I'd definitely book again. We were far enough for privacy, but a quick drive to shopping and attractions.

This home will be hard to top. Words cannot be used to express how perfect it worked for our family. It was so close to everything, however it felt like we were hours from everything. The room set up was great for our family in the main house and grandparents in the guest house to have a break. Our kids loved the steps to the pool, they learned the life lesson of them getting hot! The fruit trees are amazing. The place was so clean! The parking is tight, driveway is very steep! You can fit 4 cars with good drivers, 4 SUVs probably not. We will be going back forsure.

Our team really enjoyed their stay here. So much room to spread out. Would definitely stay here again.

In your own for a family wedding at Rancho Bernardo. The location was perfect. The hous is Beautiful and comfortable. If we come to the area again we would certainly stay here.

This is a really unique property; a Spanish hacienda. It has great amenities, especially with the private casita, beautiful pool area, orange trees, scenery and plenty of gathering areas. It sleeps a lot of people, but the driveway and parking are NOT made for more than one car. The steep narrow driveway and limited parking space made it very difficult to maneuver more than one car in and out of there. The house space is great but the floor plan is not elderly or handicap friendly. We had my 80 year old mother with us and it was a struggle for her to get around because the common areas are not level. You have to go up and down steps between all common areas. Also, the bathrooms require you to either step down into a shower or step over a tall ledge in to a shower. Again, not accommodating to older folks or anyone with a physical disability. The water pressure in the showers is also very low and the shower heads are very short. The pool and hot tub area is very nice. But, figuring out how to get the hot tub heated was a learning curve and with it being January the water was so cold it took 2 hours to heat it up once we figured out how to get it started. The house is old and has that old musty smell which takes getting used to. Now I have to wash all our clothes to get that smell out. Beds were comfortable and my two boys loved the trundle. The location was great! Close to everything in Escondido and freeway access which was convenient, but also secluded enough to feel private. *Note to the property manager--the cleaning crew needs to be more thorough. We found someone else's dirty socks in the couch.

My family and I had an amazing time. Mo was a great host who answered my questions right away. The house was very clean and well stocked. Even more spacious than I expected. Would definitely stay there again!

This is a beautiful property. It is somewhat secluded and has an outdoor pool and hot tub. We did not pay extra to have the pool or hot tub heated but it was still nice. The quiet outdoor sitting areas are nice. There is an orange tree on the property. There are darts, pool table, and cornhole in the garage. The home is well furnished, clean, and comfortable. The WiFi is on the slow side but that didn't bother us. Mo was very nice and helped us out with a minor issue at the beginning of the stay. It's a great place and would book again.
