Mountain Mist Lake House - feels remote but close to everything!

Great stay at this location. Very clean and everything needed and well provided. It would be a great summer location. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful communication with host to arrange somewhat complicated rental needs due to family relocation to Hickory. House very comfortable and inviting to 4 adults and 3 children with perfect layout of bedrooms and bathrooms. Lakefront location incredible to capture early morning mist on the water, sun rises and bird life throughout the day.

The location was nice and peaceful. The view from the master bedroom was spectacular

Great value in an amazing location. The house had plenty of beds and baths for everyone! We loved the yard and lake access. Our family had an amazing trip and we will definitely be back. Hickory is a hidden gem!!

We enjoyed some relaxing time with our adult kids, their spouses, and my mom. The house worked great for playing games inside and out (loved the giant Jenga!). We made use of the kayaks and canoe (bring a couple extra live vests if all go at once). It was fun seeing tbe fireworks across the lake from the baseball stadium! We enjoyed Riverwalk but mostly jist enjoyed hanging out on the deck!

Welcoming home with plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen is well stocked, and having the fishing equipment and kayaks provided fun days together. Easy checking in and Alicia was always available for questions. Convenient location to groceries and restaurants and we especially enjoyed the proximity to the Lake Hickory walking trail by the river. Can even see the fireworks from the Hickory Crawdads baseball game! Definitely a great spot for your next getaway.

Watching the morning mist rise from the lake waters through the giant picture window in the master bedroom would have been enough to give this location five stars. The funky artsy lake vibe was an added bonus. And we each had our own bathroom! We loved everything about this place, but we aren’t particular about wanting all the latest design trends. We loved this place just the way it was- as a classic family lake house with amazing lake access and close to town.

Stayed here for a family wedding. Was a great location and the house was beyond expectations! I wish we could have stayed longer. The house was clean and Alicia was beyond helpful. Will definitely go back!

Beautifully secluded lakefront property less than 10 minutes from activities, restaurants and shopping in Hickory, NC.

We loved the home on the lake. The property was perfect for a mini family reunion. So many amenities for cooking in the house, it was just like being at home. Easy to get to and convenient to grocery stores and Walmart and a great walking track on the lake. I would book again if back in area.

Great central place on the lake to explore the water and the nearby town of Hickory. We took the kayaks out each morning and also drove over to the nearby walking /hiking park. Room for the whole family! Thank you!

My family and I went down for a long weekend vacation. The lake house was beautiful , fully stocked, (even snacks to greet us) with a beautiful view of the lake from the back lanai. The master bedroom was laid out beautifully with a king bed and loveseat. The house had a very homey feel and was close to everything! We all spent the day on the lake Saturday in a rented pontoon and then went night fishing down from the lake house. Overall we all had a ball and we will definitely stay here again in the future! Shout out to Alecia, the host, for her prompt answers to our questions and helpful heads up to upcoming attractions Friday night!

We were in town for a family wedding and found the perfect house on the lake. This property truly had everything we needed and more! The kayaks were a hit with the adults and kids and there’s a great swimming spot right in front of the house! Everything was clean and ready for guests. The master bedroom is very spacious and has large windows that overlook the lake. There was great outdoor space to enjoy as well! The owners were amazing at communication before and during our stay when we had questions. They even had a few snacks and drinks waiting for us, which was so nice after a long drive! I highly recommend this house and can’t wait to come back!
