The dining table with seating & place settings for your group is next to the French and sliding glass doors, so you can watch nature while enjoying your meals.
A separate half bathroom (toilet and wash basin) is also located on the lower level. The lower floor overlooks the beautiful landscape of this property.

This house is not for those with accessibility concerns, nor is it baby/toddler-proof.

Guests have access to all areas inside the house (except for a service room) and outdoor areas immediately surrounding the house.

Both of the bedrooms & the full bathroom are up a short set of 6 stairs.

Our neighborhood is rural and homes are set on large acreage; however, neighbors are nearby and are friendly and have pets of their own, such as horses, goats, chickens, dogs and cats.

Other things to note
If renting a vehicle or if your vehicle is of low clearance, be warned that Schafer Road (1 mile) is a rural unpaved road tended by the homeowners. The road has potholes and ruts; therefore, high-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not required- Drive Slow!

We absolutely loved our stay here at Mossyrock. The house was adorable, and comfortable. I am in love with kitchen/living room area of that house, I didn't want to leave. The beautiful drive to Yosemite took us about an hour to the main gate on the 140, and about 10 to 15 mins to center of Yosemite Valley. Yes this property has a dirt road to get to it, however nothing my SUV couldn't handle and for that matter I saw neighbors driving small Honda Civics on that road with no problem. The morning coffee view was breath taking and the squirls were so cute and we also got to see a large family of quail. I also have to mention the giant tub in the main bathroom!!!!! Now that is a tub!!! The town of Mariposa was about a 10 min drive if that, the grocery store had some of the best prices on meat and was great quality. We also ate at the local brewery while we were there and OMG, one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had!!! We only stayed 3 nights and I wish it wasn't so jam packed with itinerary so we could enjoy the house more, so defiantly would stay again. The owners were so responsive and super nice. I would recommend for couples and family, we had our 16 year old, 10 and 7 year old with us and everyone had their own space.

Nice place. Much further to Yosemite than I thought. The home is way off the main road, most of which is either gravel, but mostly a very uneven dirt road. I was worried for my Honda CR-V AWD. We made it just fine, but I ended my trip a day early due to the drive.
