It's was nice to be around many trees. The pool was refreshing and so convenient that it was just outside the door. The guest house was quite comfortable. The host Liah was quite hospitable. We enjoyed ourselves very much!!

I will say our stay was great. We had one issue with a toilet and the owners came right over and fixed. Owners were Extremely pleasant. Very helpful/ Rained the weekend, but we relaxed and watched movies and ate alot. All was great!

Our visit to MoonStar was absolutely fabulous. The house is cozy and beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the lake from the back deck and large windows in the living space and both bedrooms. The pool is scrumptious and the host is a lovely, gracious soul. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a special mini-vacation!

My husband, brother and I had a fantastic time at this charming rental. We arrived in the night and were greeted by the Melodies of the night life around and felt right at home from the moment we stepped through the front door. It was a great feeling being one with nature and the large windows everywhere certainly help to bring the outdoors in. The view from the upper level in the morning was breathtaking and we loved that there was an area we could get work done on our laptops if we needed to. We were definitely relaxed and spent much of our time looking out and fishing on the dock that’s right on Lake Oconee. We caught a catfish, a few bream and a snapping turtle that had the misfortune of being attracted to our bait. (We released it!) it was very quiet and peaceful out there. There was also a nice area set up with seating and a fire pit also had a good view of the lake but it was far too hot to make a fire. The pool was a refreshing addition to a hot summer day and we were very happy to have had that option. It also looks great at night! There’s a country store close by that had fishing supplies and all the basics we ended up needing. And we were only about 20 mins from the nearest larger town. Our hosts were amazing! You can tell the love and care that goes into the property and they really went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and memorable. We left feeling relaxed, inspired and excited to plan another adventure there in the future!

The property is indeed right on the lake and provides beautiful views from the many windows. The upstairs “suite” is really comfortable as was the bed and the linens. Large bathroom upstairs as well and nice office/sitting/reading area! Just be aware the only access is a narrow winding staircase. It is charming but a little tight if you have a large suitcase etc. Not for anyone with reduced mobility I imagine. The main floor has a big wonderful private deck that faces the water (and a grill) and if we had had more time and better weather we would have spent a lot of time enjoying it! When we were inside the main floor is a bit “cozy” in terms of square footage but manageable if you like who you’re staying with. Open the wine and make the most of it! Lol The location, though somewhat remote to get to (really watch for deer if you come in the back route), is very nice! Be aware the main house is right beside the guest house you are renting…so the hosts are on site which can be helpful if you need anything but they also respect your privacy if you don’t. We were the first guests so there were a few minor kitchen things that needed adding and some blankets and heaters as we happened to come during a very unusual cold spell in spring. There is a small electric fireplace which also throws good heat. The hosts have likely filled in “the gaps” by now as they were eager to provide a good experience and I’m confident will do the same for others. If it weren’t for those small things we would have given it 5 stars. Really lovely, caring people! If there is something you need I’m confident they will look after you!
