LOCAL ADD-ON EXPERIENCES

From sound baths and in-home massages to stargazing under some of the darkest skies in Southern California, we've handpicked local vendors to match whatever mood you're in. Book a personal chef for a lazy night in, saddle up for a horseback ride, or take a guided hike through the National Park or other local trails. However you want to spend your time here, relaxing or adventuring, the desert (and our favorite locals) has you covered. Once your reservation is confirmed, let us know you are interested and we will connect you!

Guest Access:

The property and house is yours to roam and relax.

Getting Around:

We recommend traveling by car to explore Joshua Tree for maximum flexibility, as ride sharing services are unreliable. If you prefer not to drive, the local taxi service Lucky 777 is a dependable option. Our property offers free parking for up to four vehicles to ensure your car is kept secure during your stay.

Other Things to Note:

4:00PM Check-In: We'd love for you to check in before 8pm so you have plenty of daylight to settle in and get comfortable before dark.

Deck & Pond: There is an outside deck that hangs over a small pond. There is no railing around the deck and it hangs right over the pond of water.

No Fence: The house is not fully fenced and wild life can wonder in freely.

Dirt Roads: The road to the house is on about 1 mile of dirt road. An SUV will not be needed as they are maintained dirt roads but they can be a little bumpy.

Heating & Cooling: The main house and larger apartment home has central heating and air conditioning are provided throughout the home to keep guests comfortable in every season. The studio apartment is equipped with its own mini-split unit, allowing guests to individually control heating and cooling for personalized comfort.

Pets Allowed: We welcome dogs for a fee of $60 per dog, with a maximum of 2 dogs per stay. Please note that no other pets are permitted at this property.

Guest Policy: We only allow the number of guests listed as the maximum occupancy for this property, so any additional day guests must be requested and approved in advance. No extra overnight guests are permitted beyond those included in your reservation.

Watch your Step: This desert land holds onto bits of its past, so you may spot the occasional rusty object or piece of glass in the yard, please wear shoes anytime you're outside. You'll also be sharing the landscape with local snakes and scorpions. They want nothing to do with you, so if you see one, just back away calmly and quietly

Wood Burning Fires: We do not permit wood-burning fires anywhere on the property at any time, including in fire pits or fireplaces, due to the high risk of wildfire in our area. This policy is strictly enforced for the safety of our guests, neighbors, and the surrounding landscape,.

Desert Critters: Please keep doors closed while entering and exiting, curious critters will let themselves in given the chance. Desert wildlife is part of what makes this area special, expect sightings of jackrabbits, tortoises, roadrunners, quail, and lizards. You may also spot coyotes, rattlesnakes, scorpions, or occasionally a bobcat or mountain lion. Most just want their space, so it's best to give them yours.

Camera/ Decibel Monitor: This property has forward-facing exterior security cameras, but there are no cameras anywhere inside the home. We also use noise decibel monitors indoors to help avoid disturbing neighbors. These only measure sound levels and never record audio.

Interaction with Guests:

We like to respect our guest’s privacy, so you won’t see too much of us - unless you need us to come by. We will be available to answer any questions you may have and to help make your stay more enjoyable.

This was an amazing property to stay at! All rooms were very comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and have meals. Even the bathrooms were well stocked making us feel like if we forgot anything, the host had us covered. The casita and studio were great for family members to spread out and have their own space and the main house has a perfect living and dining area for everyone to gather for meals, games and entertainment. The kids loved the spa and the areas outside are perfectly set-up for star gazing. The property is in an area where you need to drive up dirt roads and with the rains, the ride was a little bumpy but not impossible to drive along. We definitely will plan to rent this property again when visiting Joshua Tree!

Great desert country retreat nestled in the foothills to Joshua Tree National Park. Fantastic views, wildlife and scenery, and wonderful landscaping throughout the property.

We all enjoyed the stay. Hiking around the property, soaking in hot tub, having meals outside. Unfortunately fire pit was not working, we would have enjoyed staying outside longer into the night. Would suggest clearer off road directions to the property. Overall a beautiful location & a great time by all. Would love to come back sometime.

What an awesome “compound” nestled against gorgeous Joshua Tree rocks and surrounded by outstanding landscaping. We had two couples and one single adult and enjoyed being able to spread out or come together as we chose. The kitchen was beautiful and generously stocked with dishes, silverware, pots & pans and glasses. The main house, guest house (casitas) and separate room were all decorated nicely and with style. The property has a small pond in the back with an outdoor dining area above it, and we enjoyed watching the wildlife from the backyard areas. Only negatives were the directions and lack of street signage. Need to be more explicit about not using any map apps for the last part of the journey AND EXPLAIN WHY. The various map apps will take you to a locked gate down a very narrow dirt road that you have to back down from. There is an another very narrow dirt road that you have to turn left on (Larkspur Lane) from Rincon Road that has no sign. Maybe give exact mileage from where you turn off of Quail Springs Road to Rincon Road. From Rincon Road to Larkspur Lane (which has no sign) and from Larkspur Lane to Wagon Wheel Road, etc.

Lovely home with 3 separate (but attached) units, making it an ideal location for multi generational families of 3 - 4 couples. The location is a bit remote but a close drive to the park gate or into Joshua Tree town. Ate great meals at Crossroads Cafe and Sky High Pie and went on some amazing hikes in the park. Would definitely recommend the home - a few more towels/linens would be great especially if you are a large group. Note no washer/dryer and clothes get dirty and dusty when hiking so bring multiples.

While it took us a bit of time to find our way to the property, it was worth it! There were hidden gems about the property that we were discovering until the morning we left. We appreciated the thoughtful layout, decor, and cleanliness of the houses. My only suggestion would be to make the smaller unit as marvelous as the other 2 units. We are looking forward to a longer stay there ( we were there only 1 night) in the future.

Our visit to the Moonbeam Mountain house was spectacular. The house had everything you need and more. We all wish we could have stayed longer. Loved our walks out the backdoor into the boulders and even hot tubbing in the rain! The layout of the home is perfect for guests who love to come together but also can get some space when they need it. Def would recommend and will be back. Thanks for the awesome stay!

We really enjoyed the property. Its stylish , comfortable, and private. Great grounds with koi pond , jacuzzi, lots of comfortable outdoor seating. Its near the park entrance for Joshua Tree, and close to town, yet semi secluded. My family and i loved our stay there.
