We truly enjoyed our recent stay in Monterey Dunes. This home is quite lovely and has many nice amenities. The only negative critique we have is that the kitchen appliances need to be updated. We had some difficulty working the stove and microwave. Some of the decor and utilities of the home (E.g., linens, blankets, pillows, kitchen utensils, and fixtures) are pretty dated which we did not mind but it would be nice if the owners consider replacing several of these items over the next few years. The location is beautiful and super close to the beach. We highly recommend this location for a couple or small family needing to unwind and take a break from the hectic world for awhile. Also, not far form Santa Cruz or Downtown Monterey so lots to do close by.
There were a few issues with the stove, but the location was wonderful.
Loved the whole stay. Love this area. Any room here would be an amazing stay. Colony’s Jacuzzi and ocean walks to salinas river were tops. Will be back!
Nice location close to ocean. Unit very acceptable. Artwork very nice. Would stay again.
Classic beach condo, somewhat dated, with some nice upgrades. Comfortable and welcoming. If we are ever back, we will try to stay again!
I love this particular condo and have stayed here two years in a row. Not much had changed from the 1st year and again we loved it! I have two things for the owner to take notice on though, due to the salty air the patio furniture front/back are so rusty and falling apart. I did not let any of the kids out without shoes so that there was no chance of rusty splinters in their feet and tetanus shots. The last things is the back lower bedroom has blinds missing which makes it feel funny while sleeping (someone could be peaking). Nice drapery that you can open and close would be so much nicer.
The house was great, and plenty of parking. Unfornutly our unit had rats in it.
It is a beautiful setting with wonderful amenities such as pool/basketball/hot tub etc...however, this house needs a lot of work. mouse droppings, cracking paint, very old stained bedding, beds as hard as rocks. The outdoor furniture was extremely old. The inside furniture was old and very angular and hard.
The oceanfront view and access was as described and great. The property itself was OK—could use an update but was functionally fine. We enjoyed the local kayaking and seafood. It was just a short drive to Monterey and Carmel.
