Monte da Luz - House of the Parreira

Host was helpful when we had additional questions. She also provided key places to visit and notes about stores and the area that were helpful to our stay.

Very nice quiet place, secluded from the street with private parking. Located within an easy walk to the beach, multiple nice restaurants, cafe's and bars. The pool was well maintained and clean.

The house was perfect for us. The view of the water from the front porch was so relaxing. It was a quick walk to the beach and several excellent restaurants. But we also enjoyed the pool and snacks on the porch. We are already planning to visit again!

We enjoyed our 5 days at the Monte de Luz very much! The place is clean and located within walking distance to the beach and town center. The ocean views were absolutely gorgeous! The apartment has a nice front and private back porch along with communal pool and additional back porch area. We highly recommend this apartment.

This was the perfect break for the 3 of us. After visiting Luz many times this Casa was excellent, yes it had some quirky features but that made it endearing. Everyone we came across was absolutely charming. Would we go back, absolutely

We spent a week at Casa Parreira in July. It was simply amazing. Mariana and her family have done a brilliant job of renovating their beautiful family home. The property is so comfortable with lots of space and is really well equipped. We loved the front and back terraces to sit and (at the front) take in the impressive sea view. The shared areas are magical, and the pool is a great size and we spent many happy hours there. Luz is a five minute stroll away and there are beautiful beaches and Lagos just a short drive. We didn't want to leave! Must also thank the lovely Leo who looked after us and allowed us to talk her ear off. We'll definitely be back - thank you everyone.

Mariana takes great care in maintaining the most beautiful common areas. The patios, green areas and pool are pristine and the views are breathtaking. It is a very special place in Mariana’s family and we felt so lucky to experience! Luz is also a cute little town and away from the traffic and crowds of other areas. Our family had the most relaxing stay!

Took third attempt (because of COVID travel restrictions) to actually stay at Mariana’s property. So glad we could in 2022- Mariana and her cousin were great hosts, the house is modern but with a traditional feel. Lots of outdoor space and walkable to beach and restaurants. The little compound is a great oasis! Definitely would like to come again..

Spent 3 nights. The hosts are lovely and unit was very clean and comfortable.
