This VRBO in the bastide town of Monflanquin was perfect for my wife’s and my one month stay for several reasons. First, Monflanquin is a “Plus beaux villages de France” that is close to many other lovely villages, large enough to be a functional town with several restaurants, stores, etc., but is not a tourist town. This VRBO is located close to Monflanquin’s market square (but far enough to not be bothered by noise), a pâtisserie, and free parking. The owner could not have been more helpful or responsive. This house, like most in town, is relatively narrow, three stories high, physically attached to neighboring house(s), and could be 700-800 years old. Nevertheless, the interior has been modernized (except for the charming, steep, wooden circular staircase going up to the second and third floors). There is a good sized living room on the ground floor and a small but well stocked kitchen and breakfast room with table and chairs a half floor up. The second floor contains a large master bedroom, with a very comfortable double bed and adjoining good sized bathroom with shower and bath plus a washing machine and dryer. Also on the second floor is a smaller second bedroom with three single beds (also very comfortable) and adjoining bathroom with shower. The third floor is currently set up for storage and leads onto a small rooftop terrace with table and chairs that we did not use only because of the cool weather. There is no dishwasher but that was not a problem.

House was way better than expected. Had a roof top terrace. Very relaxing but right in town and in walking distance of 8 restaurants. People in this French town are extremely nice and wil go out of their way for you. Did I mention the house has old French charm. Located between Bordeaux and Toulouse.Loved it.

Monflanquin is a charming bastide. The town has lovely restaurants and an outstanding Thursday market. We loved roaming the streets and finding treasures, then returning to our very charming house to drink wine and relax! Would definitely recommend this house and city!

Renting this home was a breeze! It's located right next to a large parking lot, which is a definite plus, and it's 60 seconds from the town square of the bastid. There's so much to do in the area, it's hard to decide; or just relax on the roof-top patio with a glass of wine and either paint a picture or write about your travels.

The apartment was perfect for us. It is well situated in Monflanquin, an easy walk to all the village has to offer. The apartment is larger than we, a couple, needed but it was good to have lots of space. It was perfect for four when another couple joined us for two nights. The owner was pleasant to deal with and accommodating when we needed to adjust our plans. I would highly recommend this apartment for any one or family wanting to stay in this area

We were in Monflanquin for a wedding that was in nearby Chateaux St Paul and we had rented this house for 3 nights. Upon arrival a lovely welcome pack including tea and wine was waiting for us. The house was lovely, and the icing on the cake was the roof terrace, a real sun trap with amazing views. Location was spot on being just outside the village square. House very comfortable with everything you need.
