If you are not familiar with Joshua Tree it may be helpful to know that Joshua Tree is not akin to Palm Springs. Joshua Tree is a tiny, working-class desert town and the neighborhood streets are not fancy. We love the quirky local nature of our town and hope you will too!

Our house is located right in the residential neighborhood of downtown south Joshua Tree. Please keep in mind that you will have neighbors. Our location is perfect for visiting the National Park and town! It is a 2-minute drive (or 13-minute walk) from Joshua Tree village, including Natural Sisters Cafe, Joshua Tree Coffee Company, Crossroads Cafe, Joshua Tree Saloon, the National Park Visitor Center, and a ton of cute shops.

10 minute drive to Yucca Valley, which has chain restaurants, drug stores, and a Walmart - plus some really great local-only finds!

20 minutes to Pioneertown, Pappy & Harriets, and the Integratron

Clean and spacious. Very cozy feel! Appreciated the make ups wipes in the bathroom and the tea selection! Would have been even better with nonstick pans to make cleaning up a breeze.

I check out reviews before I make a decision, and Mojave Haven did not disappoint! The host, Kathleen, is very customer oriented, responding promptly. Her desert haven is beautifully cozy and accommodating with all the home essentials to make your stay enjoyable, including and most importantly, super comfy beds!

Mohave Haven was perfect for our stay of three. Kathleen was super responsive to any questions and stayed in touch from booking to check in and check out. We found the house super clean and well outfitted from the kitchen to the bedrooms. We enjoyed the games in the living room as well as the Yoga corner. The breakfast nook in the kitchen complete with coffee beans, a coffee grinder and the herbal tea selection were a welcome treat. We trekked daily into Joshua Tree Park which was an easy drive away and also visited the nearby shops on the Main Street. It's possible to enjoy the night sky from the back yard but we also stargazed from the park some nights. We hope this house and its amenities will be available for some time to come: we will definitely be back and bring other visitors here to enjoy the town and park!

Gosh. This place was amazing! Extremely clean. Easy access. Good temperature regulation. Cooking utensils, spices, filtered water. Guide books. Binoculars. Nice outside areas to sit (I recommend the rocking Adirondack chairs on the front porch!) And the host was very kind and communicative. I hope I haven’t forgotten anything. There were just so many things we enjoyed! Highly recommend.

The home was easy to find in a nice neighborhood. Extremely clean with beautiful floors and updated kitchen and baths. Rooms were large, with newer flooring throughout. Host provided coffee beans and a grinder and drip pot w cream, sweetener, teas, and even oatmeal packets. Nice to have ice in the freezer and filtered water. Several restaurants with 6 blocks, as was the National Park visitor center for Joshua Tree. The main entrance is about 5 more miles, which is where you pay to enter. Kathleen responded to comments quickly and accurately. Perfect stay!

My girlfriend and I had a truly lovely stay. We were in town for a celebration-of-life ceremony, and this space provided the perfect balance of comfort, warmth, and tranquility during a meaningful time. The home is cozy and beautifully curated, with thoughtful touches that made it feel both welcoming and restorative. It was also a wonderful place to unwind—whether relaxing with a cup of tea or taking quiet moments to practice yoga and reconnect. We’re very grateful for the peaceful atmosphere and would absolutely recommend this space to anyone looking for a calm, nurturing place to stay.

Immaculate home, such a comfy bed with a warm, soft comforter. The kitchen had everything we needed, along with a generous supply of fresh decaf and caffeinated locally roasted coffee beans. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic bench for breakfast in the sunshine, and found the guides to Joshua Tree National Park to be really useful in selecting where to hike each day. It was a wonderful stay!

A great little house, spotless, and stocked with everything we needed. A nice backyard and beautiful view out front. We came for hiking and the park entrance is literally 5 minutes away. The Hostfully site they provided was detailed and helpful, especially the short blurbs about restaurants to try, which we did and they were spot on. The yoga mat was a thoughtful, kind touch (and I needed it after all that hiking!) I hope to stay again for my next Joshua Tree trip.
