Stayed Aug 1, 2018We stayed at J&J Paradise for the month of August, 2018. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we celebrated our 30 year wedding anniversary here. The location of the property is less than a one mile walk to the Sonoma plaza, with all of its restaurants and wineries. But the location also feels very rural, like you are in the country. The deep, covered front porch overlooks a vineyard, and is in an area of large lots with 2 horses next door, on the desirable east side of Sonoma. We spent alot of time just chilling on that front porch and watching the people stroll by. Very relaxing and quiet, we left the windows open at night and slept so well! From the house, it is also a short walk to Ravenswood Winery, Buena Vista Winery, Bartholomew Park, and Sonoma's Best Market. Past Ravenswood is a road that leads to a vineyard that we could hike through. Bicycles are available at the house, and we made use of those as well. The house itself is a charming, remodeled farmhouse and everything was newly remodeled and in great working order! Gourmet kitchen, new bathrooms, washer and dryer, Sonos system with speakers throughout house and on both porches. Very comfortable furniture on both porches and around the firepit. In the yard there is a bocce ball court, gas firepit and abundantly producing vegetable gardens. Janet was an amazing host--she met us at the house on the first day, and showed us the ropes. She checked in often online, and was always helpful and positive, but always unobtrusive. We would definitely stay here again.
