Modern Thorold Apt w/ Pool Table

The host was amazing, very effective for communication (texts were almost instantly answered was amazing), the place itself was cute and really nice. I liked the door-pad locks. Out of the 2 bedrooms the one had an absolutely terribly uncomfortable bed. You could see the other bedroom through the closet doors. The neighbours upstairs were quite noisy but nice people.

We had a great time as a family here. Sam is literally the best host, he made us feel like we were home all through. Thank you.

Worked out perfectly

Great location! Had a large full basement suite for my son and I. Enjoyed playing some pool and watching movies on the giant tv. Only confusion was the listing stated it was an apartment but still enjoyed the accomodations. Would definitely stay again

This was our first VRBO stay and Sam made the experience a very positive one. Super fast responses from the owner! One huge safety note - while the unit is in a basement, the bedroom windows are all enlarged and meet proper safety standards. The unit is very spacious and our stay was pleasant. Check in/check out was a breeze and we will definitely book again if we have a longer stay in the area.

Our stay here was great. The property was clean and well taken care of. Communication with the host was easy and the responses were quick. The check-in/departure instructions were clear and precise. The location was also very easy to find and convenient to many things.

Best place if you want to feel like home.

Good location for reaching the university.

My husband stayed here to help our son move. The second bedroom came in handy so that our son could take apart his bedroom the night before the move. The pool table was a bonus although it is older. Only instant coffee and kettle available so our son brought his pod machine over. For us it’s a great location and the price was right so will likely stay here again.

The apartment was clean and nice. It was very classy and a great place for a few friends or a family. I was here for a conference and it was very convenient located. It was also convenient to all kinds of stores, restaurants and everything else I needed. I never had to drive more than 10 minutes for anything. needed

The location of this two bedroom apartment was wonderful and parking was available on site. The owner (Sam) was very quick to answer any of our texts. The reason for our “okay” rating was because of multiple issues, most of which Sam said he would address soon. •Our apartment, while very pretty, was not cleaned well and multiple items were broken or unusable. We sent him photos of all of the above.•There is a flight of stairs down to the apartment and as I can't use stairs easily, this is something I wish I had known about before we booked.•Another issue to be aware of, is that, although the building itself is locked with a pin pad, the apartment door itself can only be locked while you are IN the apartment. If you leave the apartment to sightsee etc., the apartment door can NOT be locked behind you. We found that out the hard way, as we left one evening and locked the apartment, with our belongings, behind us. When we got home, after dark, we were able to enter the building but not our apartment. We needed to text Sam and he had a more permanent tenant come and let us back into ours. I really hope he can get that smoothed out as we did not like like leaving our suitcases and valuables in an unlocked apartment.If these items are addressed, this will be a great unit and value.

We had a volleyball tournament in the area. Slept well.
