With panoramic lake views, a private dock, two king-bed primary suites, a game room and room for up to 14 guests, Black House on the Lake was designed for families and friends who want to enjoy the lake without ever having to leave the property.
Spend your days swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding from your private dock. Stretch out on the lakefront loungers, fire up the grill and Blackstone griddle or gatheraround the fire pit as the sun goes down. When you're ready to come inside, the fun continues with a billiards table, ping pong and poker table in the lakeside game room.

Your Own Lake Day
The private dock is your launch point for a full day on Smith Lake. We've stocked it with 4 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, a canoe, floats, a lily pad and life jackets, so you can get on the water without packing half your garage.
When you're ready to slow down, there are 8 loungers, 4 chairs and 3 large umbrellas waiting on the dock — perfect for reading, relaxing, fishing or watching the kids play in the water.
Back at the house, gather around the fire pit for sunset, enjoy dinner on the deck and take in the lake views long after the boats have gone by.

Everything You Need Without Leaving the Property, from morning coffee to dinner in the large dining room or the outdoor dining table on the deck. We've stocked the kitchen with the things that make a lake vacation easier — espresso machine, Keurig, traditional coffee maker, spices and cooking essentials, Blackstone with propane, and a charcoal grill.

The game room is located above the carport and has its own exterior entrance, making it a great space for older kids, teens or adults who enjoy having their own separate hangout.

Wake up to the lake. Spend the afternoon on the water. Watch the sunset from the fire pit. Then challenge everyone to a game of pool before calling it a night.

Please keep in mind that wildlife is present all in and around the lake. Fishing is great in the main channel and especially in our slough. Wasps, frogs, spiders etc are sometimes around no matter how hard we work to keep them away. There is even a blue heron that nests on our property and fishes off of our dock when no one is around. Our 2 acre piece of paradise is a nature lovers dream.

The driveway to the house is very steep and is best suited for an SUV with AWD or a 4-wheel drive vehicle. There are raised cross ties and bumps that lower clearance cars may scrape. We recommend walking the driveway before coming down.
If 4WD or AWD isn’t an option for you, there is ample parking at the top of the driveway. There are 25 stairs from the upper parking area to the house. You’ll need to be comfortable navigating the stairs if you don’t have an appropriate vehicle to come down the driveway. We’ve owned the property for 11 years and have driven down the driveway thousands of times with no issues.
