Fantastic
I will start by sating the property was very nice, clean, modern. We only had 4 people but it would have plenty of room for 8. Plenty of bathrooms, the one outside was great for when hanging out on the deck and pool. Nice outdoor kitchen and tiki hut. We used that area a lot. There were paddle boards, kayaks and bikes to use. Also some fishing equipment which wasn't the best, so we bought a couple of poles and left them for the next visitors. Had fun fishing off of the dock and we even caught a 5 foot shark from the pier. Manatees would came right up to the pier a couple of times too. A few quirks, the appliances are new and very modern. There was an induction stove which we couldn't figure out how to use and had to look up the manual online. We also could only figure out how to get the TV in the tiki hut to turn on as there were multiple remotes for some. We didn't watch too much, other than a few Big Ten basketball tourney games, so not a big deal, but instructions on how to use the appliances and TVs would have been nice to have in the house. We also couldn't get the blender to work. Also, it was listed as a heated pool, but was not heated, again not a deal breaker as it was in the mid 80s the whole time we were there. The biggest drawback was trying to get replies from the property manager to answer questions. We had two numbers for her and would never get a pick up always voice mail. On one of the numbers it said not to text the other said go ahead and leave a text, but we never got replies back either way. A couple of days packages had been dropped off inside the house while we were gone which we were not happy about as we had personal items sitting out. I left a message with the property manager about that we didn't want that to happen anymore, didn't hear back but the packages stopped. Check in was easy, but you had to pick up and drop off the key from a different location. Good location in the middle of the keys to take day trips. Again, overall was a really nice place and we enjoyed our stay. Would stay again if I knew the managers were going to be more responsive.
Beautiful home! This was our first time visiting the Keys and we chose this property for it's central location... only ~1 hour to either Key West or Key Largo. Lots to do close to Marathon as well, including visiting Bahia Honda state park, kayaking the mangroves at Boot Key, snorkeling at horseshoe beach and visits to the multiple beaches in the area. The kids loved the privacy of the pool and the outdoor kitchen. Jessica was very responsive via phone and email to answer any questions we had.
The home is very spacious. It could do with a foot stool or two. There were many things to keep us busy, kayaks, SUP, fishing, swimming, & snorkeling We used a lot of towels and so appreciated the washer dryer. The one suggestion we have is maybe put hooks or towel bars in to hang towels on.
We enjoyed our stay here, had 5 family members. The home is very nice and comfortable. Each bathroom only had 2 bath towels, we would have appreciated being stocked with 2 sets. The front bedroom window shade doesn't clise properly, this caused sleeping problem. We also had trouble with the TV's. There is 6 TV's in house only 3 work as description indicateds 3 TV's. We had to call for help with the outdoor TV on 3rd day as it was buffering every few minutes. Property manager got a maintenance man out the next day. The problem was the router position. My family also commented it would have been nice to have a dimmer on light switch in tiki hut.
This home was wonderful! It had all the latest technology from the kitchen to the entertainment to the outdoor dining! And the owners have lots of pool toys, beach chairs, fishing gear, beach toys, beach towels, etc. They are even courteous enough to stock the home with toilet paper, paper towels, and allow renters to leave spices and baking needs. So helpful when staying for a week and cooking some meals at home! We had a multi-generational family reunion including parents in their 80s down to a 3 year old. We loved this property and highly recommend it.
The home was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Jessica was so fast to respond to our questions. The bike had a flat and so we had it fixed. Jessica quickly advised she would reimburse us. The thoughtfulness of providing a welcome bag of soaps and a few essentials really helped us get our stay started as we had traveled by air. We loved that the swimming pool lights would come on in the evening and created a gorgeous glow and highlighted the lushness of the palm trees. We loved the whole experience!
Give it 4 stars would like to stay there next year
The house was beautiful inside and out but when you pay that much for a rental property you expect perfection and it wasn’t. The biggest problems were in the kitchen and master bedroom. Also when the property has propane tanks it’s up to the property manager to make sure that are filled and ready for each renter. You don’t ask the renter to fill them. Kitchen- the blender was broken, had to use the neighbors and when I emailed the property manager about replacing it I did not receive any response. There was not any poolside dishes of any kind in the cabinets. All breakable. For a family of 4 it still lacked dishes in general. All dishes were breakable which did not make any sense because you were likely to eat outside. Master bedroom- did not have any table lamps on either side of the bed. Only 2 bath towels from 10 years ago were in the master bath. The owners closet that was locked contained where you would hang any clothes up so the house should have had a free standing hanging bar rack easily purchased from Amazon. A good property manager should be able to go in a rental property and within a short period of time make a list of what the house needs and make sure it is taken care of prior to the rentals. You can’t ask for that much money and not have the house stocked. Based on the previous reviews I even called prior to my stay and that reassured me that the house was well equipped. It’s unfortunate when a property is as beautiful as this one doesn’t have what you need to make your stay enjoyable.
great property, great setup, loved the out door kitchen
Everything was perfect except there was no clothing iron or working blender.
The house was spacious, clean and beautiful! Located right on the deep water canal in Marathon. It was a great place for some much needed R&R
