Stayed Sep 30, 2022We liked staying in Golconda, however, it seems like a forgotten city. We did enjoy walking the city and had a really great meal at Diver Down. It was also beautiful to walk along the Ohio River. The property was nice and had all we needed, however, it is shared with another unit and the walls are very thin. The couple we shared the walls with were very nice and thankfully not loud, but we could definitely hear them talking (not what they said, just voices). Overall, I would stay here again because we were out exploring more than we were at the property and it was a good location for us and had all we needed. The only other unfortunate part was that we did not get any check-in information prior to arriving and had a difficult time getting in touch with someone. Thankfully, a nice neighbor was outside and was able to get in touch with someone for us. It was a unique situation because it turned out the property manager was sick, but it did put a damper on things at first. All worked out and the property manager was very nice and apologetic.

Stayed May 27, 2025We had a fantastic time during our stay! The location was ideal for us since we had family camping nearby in Shawnee, and it was close to everything we needed. The host was great! Incredibly nice and responsive! We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed May 26, 2023Cute clean property with everything you need, enjoyed our stay. The only downside is the road street noise before midnight if you are a light sleeper bring a load fan or ear plugs.

Stayed Apr 25, 2023River Roost was great getaway for our visit to Paducah for Quilt Week. Adorable accommodations with everything we needed. Enjoyed dinner at several local restaurants.
