Minerva's Rest is a beautiful house in Old Bisbee

This Bisbee stay is the kind of place that quietly wins you over the moment you walk in. The home is bright, spacious, and beautifully put together, with warm wood floors that practically glow and give the whole space a welcoming, lived-in elegance.The kitchen is a standout—modern, spotless, and fully equipped, with plenty of room to cook, snack, or just gather and talk. It felt more like a real home than a rental, which made settling in effortless. The living area is equally inviting, with comfortable seating, great natural light, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind after a day exploring Bisbee’s hills.One of the most memorable touches is the bathroom with its gorgeous clawfoot tub—perfect for slowing things down and soaking the day away. It adds a unique, almost boutique feel that you don’t always find in vacation rentals.Outside, the patio area with the fire feature is a whole vibe. It’s an ideal spot to sit back in the evening, enjoy a drink, and take in the peaceful surroundings.Everything felt clean, well cared for, and thoughtfully designed. This place strikes a perfect balance between comfort and character, making it a great home base for a Bisbee getaway. Would absolutely stay here again.

I had read every single one of the five star reviews for Minerva’s Rest, so expectations were high, but we were still absolutely blown away by everything about the house!The comments about the luxurious amenities provided; the beauty, comfort and tranquility of the house; and the responsive communication from the hosts — all true, and all understatements.I often glean additional information from reviews about a property. So, here a few things I don't remember seeing mentioned by others.My very favorite — a profusion of colorful potted flowers turning the back deck into a garden oasis of blooms complete with a bubbling fountain. A wonderful complement to the indoor beauty of the house and its furnishings.Also appreciated — the thick book with thorough yet concise explanations of every aspect of the house (locations of items; directions for appliances, electronics, remotes, indoor and outdoor fireplaces; etc.) in separate sections with a table of contents to easily find answers to any question. Two small cards on the dining table served as “Quick Start” guides for immediate orientation to the house.A small item — each bedroom had a small wooden cube at the bedside with four electrical outlets on top for plugging in CPAP or other devices, and on the front, four USB-A’s for charging phones, etc.We had a thoroughly wonderful stay at this amazing property.Now we will not be completely satisfied with any other vacation rental! Eva and Dave have simply set the bar too high!

This restored and artfully decorated historic home is a real gem in the heart of Bisbee. We were impressed by the amazing attention to detail in every room as well as in the outdoor areas. The hosts are wonderful and were available to answer questions and checked on us daily. We learned a great deal about Bisbee from the many books and local art provided for us. The kitchen is well stocked and is very modern. A beautiful oasis in a fascinating town!

Every aspect of our stay at Minerva's Rest was fantastic thanks to the high standard of all details. I feel like my 5.0 rating is inadequate due to the comfort, style, functionality that is above and beyond any other Vrbo we have stayed at. Thank you and we can't wait to visit Bisbee again.

This is the best VRBO I've stayed at, the attention to detail is incredible, from the coffee bar with 6-7 different coffees, creamer, sugar, water in the fridge, water fountain in the back yard. It felt arriving at a families house, the lights were on when we stepped in the house and a bottle of Champs waiting for us. The beds were comfortable. The back deck and patio was magical. We walked downtown to shop and eat, we didn't cook there, but kitchen looked to have everything needed, we will definitely come back!

If you're traveling to Bisbee, stay here!! This is the best house!!! Shiny clean, gorgeous patio, feels like home. The owners put a lot of effort into the little things that make a huge difference. Easy parking and very convenient to downtown. Love this place!!!

Absolutely perfect!

Minerva’s Rest was incredible! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience; so much so that we would loved to have stayed longer! Communication was excellent, they thought of every possible amenity (including fresh flowers in each room and a chilled bottle of wine)! The location was perfect; just far enough from town that it was quiet, but still a quick, easy walk. Everything was spotless and very comfortable. The guest information binder was incredible! A lot of After dinner and an evening walk, we enjoyed reading about the history of the house and the community.

What an incredibly wonderful house. Historic but beautifully updated. Beautiful kitchen and bath. Two very nice bedrooms, one with a large alcove window that extends from the house. Great back yard with ample seating, great privacy, a massive rock wall that is so charming, a gas fire pit, a wood-burning chimenea. Really is the best VRBO ever.

From booking to departing Eva & Dave were in contact and super helpful. Always responded quickly. The amenities were incredible! Eva & Dave thought of everything. There was everything you could want or need and more. The information binder about the house, the town and things to do was very helpful and super interesting. We loved Minerva's Rest!

The property is one of the finer, if not the finest place we have ever stayed using VRBO. And Eva and Dave are outstanding as hosts. They checked in regularly to make everything was working as expected and over the years have offered suggestions about dining and activity in the area.

This was an amazing house to stay at!! The hosts of this property thought of everything. The place is spotless and anything you might need, it’s there. The beds were great, loved the walk in shower and the patio was super relaxing!! The best rental house I have ever rented!!!!!

The location to town was about a 15 minute walk. Restaurant recommendation for Cafe Roka. We could not have been happier with our stay.

If i could give this place 10 stars i would!! Close to everything, th house is beautiful inside and out and has everything you need. Its not missing one amenity. We will be stating there again in the future! I highly recommend.

A beautiful house, well kept well stocked. My brother and I were in for my 50th high school reunion. We had a really good time and enjoyed Ava and Dave’s home very much. The deck and courtyard are beautiful to sit out there to drink our coffee before we started our day. Thank you again Ava and Dave for making our trip so wonderful.

The trip was a girls' trip, we traveled around checking out towns and cities we've been interested in. Bisbee was on our list for a bit, and to say that the space we stayed in met all our expectations is a total understatement. All of us work stressful jobs and are on the go constantly. Eva's place gave us comfort, the ability to relax and heal. Thank you for all the great attention to detail and for caring so much for your guest.

The high ratings are not false. This property had more amenities than any other place we’ve rented. Although it’s a 20 minute walk to Old Town, we enjoyed the fresh air and exercise. Fabulous hosts. We’d definitely come back.

I use Vrbo a lot. This is the best place I’ve ever stayed at by far. The host was more than communicative. The house was not only cute but immaculate. She provided every amenity that you could think of it was close to all the shopping and I will recommend this place to anybody who asks me where to stay in Bisbee. This was a great rental—everything you could possibly need was supplied. There were literally 4 different coffee makers. Kitchen is state of the art, individual room thermostats, multiple electric fireplaces, an electric car charger on the site. Nice to have a parking space for the renters. We did not get to use the decks in back (too chilly) but they are very nicely done. Loved the large walk-in shower…

Minerva's Rest is the perfect place for a visit to Bisbee. The house was beyond perfect. Our hosts thought of everything! We will definitely rebook on our next trip to Bisbee!
