Mid-Century Modern Fayetteville Home Close to Town

Owner sent check in instructions via email and it was a smooth process. House was clean and very nicely decorated. The beds were comfy. It was great to have a washer and dryer to use! We appreciated the snacks! The location was great. Easy to get to trail heads for hiking and visitors center for the park. Owner left a list of restaurants. We ate at the Secret Sandwich Society and Pies and Pints and finished off with ice cream at Stache. Highly recommend all of those places! The checkout instructions ask to take out the trash which we did, however, we are from a place that does not have bears and could not figure out how to get the lid open on the trash can. We should have checked to see if there was a video on YouTube ! Overall great place to stay and would stay here again.

This was a great place to stay while visiting the New River Gorge NP - plenty of space (inside and outside) - comfortable bedrooms and great bedding, well-equipped kitchen, two very clean bathrooms, comfortable living room with a record player - loved it. They thought of everything to make this a wonderful rental - I highly recommend it!

We had an amazing relaxing experience at Fayetteville, the house was clean and cozy, and the host was super helpful. It is very close to the city and shops and at the same time hiking trails. The area is safe. Highly recommend.

The house was cute, clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated as shown in the photos. It was well-equipped with pantry staples and bonuses such as microwave popcorn and hot cocoa. The insulated water bottles that we got to keep were nice too. The location is great, very near town so it is convenient to many things and not isolated (which is good in some of these small mountain communities). I liked that there was a washer/dryer we could use, and we enjoyed the record player. We enjoyed staying in on a snowy night since we had everything there to prepare our own meal. The guidebooks were also very helpful for planning our trip. There were two bathrooms, and that was convenient but there wasn't quite enough hot water for two people to take a shower at the same time for more than 5-10 minutes. The only other thing that could have been changed was a few extra toilet paper rolls for our 5 night stay with 4 people.

The space was comfortable and warm. We spent the days hiking so coming home to guaranteed warmth was nice. We don't really eat out so past hiking in the NPS and state parks was really what the location was about. Perfectly located for driving into New River Gorge area daily.

The kitchen amenities were great. The best I have encountered as compared to other VRBO rentals. The host offered souvenir water bottles which was very thoughtful. Made available a number of local guidebooks and information. Great location just outside of Fayetteville.

This house was awesome! We've rented places all over the world and this one was probably the most well appointed. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen has everything you would need. And the extra touches like good coffee pods and popcorn were icing on the cake! Seating, lighting and electric sockets were a plenty. The beds were great and the whole house smelled so clean. I wish we had stayed longer. Loved it!

It was super cute, had plenty of room for all 6 of us. Reminded me of Dad’s house in Tennessee!Had everything we needed!

Well stocked cabin. Thank you for the extras like coffee and bottled water. We couldn’t find matches or a fire stick to little the camp fire, otherwise I think you thought of everything!!

We enjoyed our stay in Fayetteville. The house is decorated nicely, and the kitchen is well-stocked. As an owner of an EV, I especially appreciated having access to a charger on the property. There are several great restaurants in town and the house is convenient to visit New River Gorge National Park.

We loved our stay in this delightful house. So many careful details made us feel not only right at home, but rather spoiled by the generous touches and amenities available. Peet's coffee (my favorite!), popcorn, and even travel mugs were provided for us. The bedrooms were all beautifully but simply decorated, which elevated the enjoyment when we were there. The main room was very comfortable and stylish, with nice extras like games and some reading material. The kitchen was large and functional, with attractive furniture. All the utilities worked well, so we were very comfortable. Also, the location was excellent and short distance from the center of town. Highly recommend!

This place exceeded our expectations! We particularly liked hanging out on the back deck. It was a very quiet neighborhood and very close to the park and downtown.

Loved this property !!! The home had everything that our family of five needed and more. The location was perfect. Close to many great restaurants and all the hiking and river adventures that we could handle. Would highly recommend and stay again.

Nice, modern home. The view you see is from the back of the house. Close to most trails and downtown Fayetteville. The only negative was the coffee machine was not working. We like to have our coffee and relax for a bit before we head out, so we had to make due.

This is a great base camp for all of the New River adventures. We had a great time and had everything we needed. The location is perfect for quick trips to the gorge or Fayetteville.

We enjoyed the house. We appreciated that there was toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, a new sponge, etc. provided. It was also helpful to have the sticks for snores provided. Thank you!

We loved the location of the property and how close to town we were but still had some peace and quiet when there. The backyard fire pit was perfect for our group! The property had everything we could have wanted. Check in was easy and seamless.

The house was great and located within a friendly community and near local shops and eatery. The house smelled great and looked amazing. The door code didn’t work as described in check in process, but I was able to get in contact with the property manager and got it worked out within 5 minutes of arrival.

Wonderful stay. The house really did feel cozy and just like home. Loved all the personal touches including the popcorn! House is very close to the canyon rim visitor center which was nice. Highly recommend.

The property was excellent, so comfortable for the three of us to spend the weekend together. Everything's was clean and lovely, we all slept well in our own rooms, the kitchen had everything, and the lounge was a comfy spot to watch movies. Everything in town was so ney. Wondergul!

Location was perfect. Plenty of places to eat with in 5 minutes. Grocery store not too farBridge and national park visitor centre are very close. Had what you would need if you were cooking check in was flawless. Neighborhood wasnt too busy. Beds were comfortable. The ceilings were weird

We loved our stay here! The house was beautifully decorated and perfect for our family of 5. The location was great, as we came for hiking in the Gorge. So many helpful and fun little things included, like popcorn, water bottles, laundry detergent, record player with records, relevant reading materials, and so much more. We enjoyed our stay at the Mid-Century Modern Fayetteville Home. We loved the open concept living, dining, kitchen area where we could all hangout and the 3 bedrooms where we could each retreat for quiet time. Hurricane Helene rained down on us so we couldn't enjoy the porch or yard but it looked like a nice spot to hang out if the weather cooperates. While the property is close to town, walking on King Avenue is a little risky -- there are no sidewalks or even shoulders to get out of traffic.

We had a great visit to New River Gorge National Park and the Bridgewalk. This house was a perfect location for our trip and was the best stocked house we have stayed in. The owner provided all the essentials we needed- shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent, dish soap, coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn and even a gallon of drinking water - very thoughtful! The house was also decorated with great pictures from the local area as well as books and other helpful information. We were very happy with this house and location!
