Mid-Century A-frame On Big Squam Lake.

Feeling grateful that we can experience the magic of Squam Lake! First fell in love with Squam Lake over 40 years ago when I was a teenager. The cabin is a family home that is entrusted to guests: their willingness to share their secluded A-frame retreat is helping to make seriously wonderful memories for me and my family. It is tranquil, private and boasts a fully stocked kitchen, games drawer, lake chairs, life jackets, beach towels, a canoe, a kayak, and wood for the wood burning stove! We added Rod Stewart and Bonnie Raitt to the CD collection!

This place has worked well for several years, and hopefully I will be back next year. We love the location, charm of the place, and just having lots of Lake time. What a great treat!

There is nothing better than coming back to a house you have rented before and this was no exception. The house was exactly its same charming self, the dock completely secluded but affording an ever changing view, and so incredibly quiet. We loved it just as much as we did last year. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Clean mid century A-frame with great lakefront location on Squam Lake. If you are looking for minimalist decor or luxury style, this is not it, but if you want the feel of staying in someone’s family camp, then this is your place. Very isolated, private, and quiet. Be aware that you have to climb a steep ladder/staircase to reach the bedrooms. There are built in twin size areas to sleep available in the living room if you cannot handle the climb. A wood stove is available to keep the house warm if needed. There is no television, but there is good WiFi. A canoe and kayak are available to explore the beautifully clear Squam Lake area. Also know that the water in the house is from the lake, so be sure to bring your own bottled water.

The teepee mid century is charming- a true family camp in the woods. It is a unique place, quirky and serene.

This year we stayed at the Tall Pines again, and it was even more wonderful. What a beautiful place to be in rain or shine- thank you Betsy and to the whole Mead family for this treasure in the woods.

Incredible location and fully equipped house. Saw raccoons, heard owls each night, heard loons multiple times throughout the day and night, Chipmunks, crows…. Had a very memorable week and a very serene spot!

The A-frame is a charming, simple place in a beautiful location. Quiet and secluded at the end of the road and great spot on the lake.

After staying in houses all over Squam Lake I finally landed on one absolutely perfect for my family. The house is located way down a peninsula and has no other houses around it, which gives you incredible privacy and solitude. It was so quiet and we all enjoyed the comfortable and cozy house. There was plenty of space to spread out and watch the world go by either from the dock or the deck. The WiFi was great and allowed us to watch the Olympics every night. The owner was incredibly easy to work with and graciously allowed me to change our reservation by an entire year. We had the best week and I am already counting the days until we can go back next summer. Thank you so much for the loveliest week. 10/10!
