Family friendly. Wonderful property. And we saw so many manatees at the house & in the river on the provided kayaks.

10/10! Home was great! Host is wonderful and responsive. Weeki Wachee is steps out the back door. Best home we saw that is right on the water. House is very clean and well kept.

Property is amazing. Weeki Wachee River is clear. Lots of action on the river, humans and otherwise. Close to WW Springs and shopping. We were happy staying at the house all day. Kids (old and young) had a blast. Plenty of space on the screened-in patio or literally on the river on two large decks. Easy kayak launching and all the amenities you can imagine.

A paradise for couples and families alike

This house is in the perfect location on the main river. The house and kitchen are well appointed for any length of stay. We saw so many manatees, a river otter and a pair of dolphins. The weather was rainy one day and the screened porch was the ideal location to sit and relax while still enjoying the river view. Karen is a fantastic host. She was very responsive to my questions and so kind. We can’t wait to return!

Living our best river life! 🛶 Between the kayaking, fishing, and tree-jumping, we didn't want the days to end. We even got lucky with the local wildlife—dolphins, otters, manatees, and turtles all made an appearance! Wish we had a few more days, but we’ll be back soon!

Host was very helpful and accommodating for our stay at the mermaid house, house was clean, welcoming and very well situated on the river to do a lot of manatee and boater watching, beds were very comfortable. All in all this was a great stay for us trqveling from seattle to weeki wachee.

This was our third time staying here. It’s the BEST. Karen is such a wonderful host and the house is perfection.

Absolutely amazing with lots of wildlife - otters manatees turtles dolphins and monkeys. We felt no need to go anywhere else our entire stay. One of the few places I’d book again.

Stunning home- just beautiful. Loved everything about it, so tastefully decorated and clean. Kitchen is beautiful and fun to cook in.Comfortable beds. Screened in porch was wonderful, with a great tv. Kayaks in great shape that were easy to get in and out of the water with the steps. We used the fire pit every night and sat around it in comfortable chairs. Karen is a very kind and thoughtful owner who responds immediately. Just a perfect vacation for us,

We loved the Mermaid house! This is the perfect location! My kids loved fishing and swimming out back. Brought our dog too. The house is extremely clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely rent again!

What a truly hidden gem. This property is amazing. I can not wait to get back. Right on the river. This was the perfect place to be. We went simming right off the back dock. Kayaks were in great shape and easy to just launch right out your back door. I can go on and on about this house. The large screened in porch was amazing for movies and people watching. Kitchen had everything we need to make meals at home. Beds were so comfortable and clean. I highly recomend this house. You will fall in love with it.

Wife, daughter and I had a wonderful experience. Kayaks were easy to get into the water and the water was great.

This place was fabulous! Had such a wonderful experience and will be back in the future. Perfect water just steps away and we saw dolphins and manatees every day we were there. Clean, quiet and comfortable.

Everything was perfect about this stay! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and entertaining. Dogs allowed.

The perfect home.

We loved our stay! The house was perfect for the 6 of us! We spent 4 full days just hanging out at the house swimming and kayaking up and down the river. We also loved the screened in patio. We brought an outdoor fan with us and it helped us stay cool in the July heat if we weren’t in the water. Karen was very helpful and quick to respond if we had any questions. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We visited weeki wachee for the first time last year but stayed in an Airb bnb in the canals. The water was darker and we could not see through it like we could on the main river. This house includes steps for easy access into the river and a dock that the kids all used to jump into the water. There is a swing with a cover that my my dad really enjoyed. As early risers would fix our coffee and sit on the swing and deck and watch for morning manatees! I was surprised how many manatees we saw! I thought they moved out of the springs during the hot month to seek cooler, less crowded water but we saw them daily. Multiple sightings with mama and babies! We also managed to see a little otter occassionally dipping in and out of the water. The screened in porch was great to eat in and escape some evening bugs. The house was adorably rennovated. Only one of the bedrooms has a tv but that didnt seem to bother the kids much, they were pretty tired by the end of the day. The laundry room has a massive washer and dryer. The kitchen had everything we needed including a crockpot. We loved our stay here. Staying on the main river is a must. The experience is very different than the canals. Even my dad ( a homebody) enjoyed the location. Would definitely stay again!

The home was perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better location! We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Everyone had a fantastic time (ages 4-63). Excellent kayaking!

What a great place to stay with all the amenities of home and being able to enjoy the beautiful river view from the back porch and yard, paradise for sure. Karen and Alex are excellent hosts and are always available to assist with any questions or issues. Also, it's really cool to see dolphins and manatees swimming in the river. We rented a go boat and that made it a nice way to see the river at a leisurely pace. Can't wait for our next adventure at this river home.

A beautiful easy access place right on the springs. Fun for adults and children alike while communing with nature. Well supplied and beautifully decorated.

Everything was stellar! Porch is where we found ourselves most of the time, it is huge and very accommodating! Not to mention the water just off the dock is plenty deep for a plunge! All appliances and AC in perfect working order! Can't wait to return and possibly even rebook this same location!

In my opinion, this was the best location on the river! I am looking forward to coming back, if I can find an opening. Karen was amazing to work with. Thank you for the all around amazing experience!

Great location and lots of activities for adults & children.

We've stayed at multiple places in Weeki Wachee and this was, by far, the best. The location is unbeatable -- right on the river so clear waters and close to Hospital Hole. The outdoor area was lovely and, as nice as the inside was, between that and the enormous Florida room/screened-in porch, most of our time at the house was spent in the fresh air. The bedrooms are all comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our host was attentive to questions and checked-in regularly to make sure everything was going well. The house was spotless. Would definitely like to make this our new go-to spot on the river.

This was our 2nd stay and this place is such a gem. The kind of place you tell everyone about but want to gatekeep it for yourself. One of our favorite places ever.

Beautiful property, clean and quiet. The house was well stocked and you can tell that the owner takes time to provide small conveniences to make your stay pleasant.

Everything about this place was great. Karen was so good with communication and details. We stayed over Christmas, and we were very excited to see the house had a Christmas tree. We love this location being so close to hospital hole and we saw plenty of Manatees.

We had a wonderful stay. You have direct access to the river. The kitchen was furnished in a way we could cook meals with no problems. Forewood was provided. Can't wait stay again in the future. We enjoyed watching the wildlife from our backyard. We saw manatees, deer and a variety of birds.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the mermaid house and it is five star all the way best location on the river. The house is been recently updated and it’s fabulous. You won’t be disappointed.
