Mediterranean-Style Beach Retreat With Gourmet Kitchen and Balconies

We had high hopes for this stay given the price and location, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations—and some things felt downright misleading. The biggest issue was the refrigerator. For a house that sleeps 12, a dorm-size fridge is completely inadequate. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this has been a long-standing issue the owner has chosen not to fix or disclose. The king bed in one of the main bedrooms is broken and sinks badly in the middle, my husband had to sleep in a chair all week to avoid back pain. There was sand in one of the queen size beds that was not from us! Both Keurig machines were broken, and while the listing told us to bring beach gear, it failed to mention no personal beach equipment is allowed on the private beach. We were forced to rent through a vendor just to provide shade for our one-year-old, costing $200 per couple. Also, golf carts are not allowed, despite us planning to use one. Overall, for the high price, we expected a much better experience. The property has potential, but these issues need to be addressed—and more importantly, disclosed honestly. Would not stay again unless significant changes are made.

Full Kitchen, ready for cooking for large groups. By far the cleanest home I've rented.Less than 1.5 miles to the mall.Short walk to the beach. The house is 3 stories with the kitchen on the 2nd floor, just for others to be aware.

I recently stayed at this beach house for vacation and I could not have asked for a better experience. The home was absolutely beautiful. - from the elegant decor to the high end finishes, every detail felt thoughtfully designed for comfort and style. It was immaculately clean, which made it easy to relax and feel right at home from the moment we walked in. You could tell the owners take great pride in maintaining the property.

We really enjoyed our stay at Destiny By the Sea. There was plenty of space for all of us and it was a short 5 minute walk to the private beach. There were a couple of problems, however. The key to the front door couldn't be removed after locking the door, (it would get stuck) so we ended up leaving the door unlocked for the first few days of our stay. Also, the bed frame of one of the king sized beds in the smaller master bedroom was broken, making the bed sink in the middle. Maintenance was called for the front door and bed and quickly resolved the problem. This house is lovely but not for guests with bad knees. The kitchen and living room are on the 2nd floor and master bedrooms on the 3rd. If you're young and in good physical shape, it's a great place for a large group to stay.

Few minor snafus, broken kitchen faucet/kitchen appliance, worn outbed matress, the house was great. Perfect size for big family, close to the beach.

We LOVED this house! It was clean. The main room was open and had lots of space to gather! The management team let us check in early and texted us throughout the stay to make sure all was going well. When we had questions, they were super responsive! We would stay in this house again!

water ice in fridge and separate icemaker did not work. Was told a maintenance person would come fix. did not happen. everything in a rental should work.

Property needs updating and painting. No access to the garage was annoying. Be prepared to walk stairs. Nice house though, the private beach and gated neighborhood make it

Property was great and immaculate, however, could improve on kitchen supplies like coffee, sugar and cream, and salt and pepper. Also, no beach towel provided for a beach property. A few board games for entertainment would be nice too.

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. Everything we needed was at our disposal. The private entrance to the beach was great. We will definitely utilize this property in the future.

We have stayed at numerous homes in the neighborhood, which we love. This home needs some maintenance done. Hardly any of the slider doors have working locks. Two showers leak when you use which causes a mess with towels and cleaning up the floor. Upstairs street bedroom needs the toilet secured to the floor. The same bedroom has inoperable patio door. Kind of tacky with signs and papers on the door “do not use” . There are scrapes on doors and walls where it needs painted. Broken tile in downstairs bedroom. The kitchen is not well stocked. The ice maker didn’t work, the middle burner on the cooktop kept clicking so we didn’t use. The paper towel holder needs to be replaced. The home should have garage access, it’s way more helpful with beach toys, bikes and storage. Again, we love this neighborhood but this home has deferred maintenance that needs to be addressed when paying this price point.

We had a good stay at this property. The property is located in a very exclusive area, with direct access to a private beach. The house is out 4/5 minutes walk from the beach. We had several age groups in our party, including our parents. The bedrooms downstairs were good for them, however, they had to climb a flight of stairs to get to the second floor kitchen/dining. We had a plumbing issue which was resolved promptly. The customer service/support was prompt. Overall, I would recommend this property for stay especially when you have more than 10 people in the group.

Thank you for a great week. Was missing an iron (guest service immediately provided to us!), do need a better (full size) ironing board and Ice machine didn’t work. But really those were the only minor issues. We loved our stay.
