The owner Paola was very helpful on arrival. The house is peaceful and charming and really well situated to explore Viterbo on foot. Comfortable bed. We were there in January and the house was warm.

We had a lovely stay! The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable. The parking was great, though a little challenging the first time but after that we got the hang of it. We appreciated all of Paola’s recommendations! She is so kind and very quick to respond to our questions.

What a beautiful apartment! And Paola is exceptional in her assistance and helpfulness and friendliness. the beds are comfortable and the bathtub is fantastic!! BUT the 2nd bathroom with the shower did not work for 4/5 of the days we were there. It was no ones fault, and Paola fixed it as soon as she was able. Still, we were without a shower and no bathroom with the upstairs bdrm.

We loved our stay in Viterbo. The house is located in the middle of the old city and was very comfortable and has been renovated with great care. Paola welcomed us to the house and even provided us with a welcome gift if wine. Thanks Paola for a great stay, hopefully we can come again for longer next time!

Fantastic property and excellent host. The apartment was ideally located, beautifully appointed and extremely well run . The city is delightful - lots to see, few tourists, some terrific places to eat. All in all a wonderful experience.

There were 2 couples that stayed at their VRBO.Paola and her daughter were GREAT hosts! Very nice and knowledgeable! They even met us off site when a festival (Feast of Saint Rose) was going on in Viterbo while we arrived, and we couldn’t get in to the city…Her place is beautiful and very authentic in its 1200AD style. And it is in a great location to walk to a local store outside the walled city and great restaurants and sites inside!A real gem in both her location and Viterbo itself!Paola’s suggestion to visit the TREBOTTI winery was right on!! What a great suggestion! You will need a car to visit though…I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VRBO!!CIAO!

The place is beautiful and the rooms clean. Parking was secure. The location was a short walk to local squares and sites on a quiet pedestrian street. We really enjoyed our stay. Our host met us with the keys and showed us where to park. Her book held all useful information like restaurants, wi-fi, local attractions, how to recycle in Viterbo, etc. She was very responsive to messages. Paola, thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

This property is impeccable! Located very close to restaurants, delicatessen and pastry. Viterbo is walkable, we arrived by train to Porta Roma, a few minute walk from the property. Paola met us at the door in a few minutes for check in. She communicated a great deal of information about the area including map and recommendations. I have only great things to say to you about this property. The streets were safe at night and busy during day with a lot more pedestrian traffic around 7:30pm, when more restaurants started opening for the dinner meal.

Very clean with lots of nice touches. Tea bags, sugar, spices, olive oil and laundry detergent ptovided. We only needed a very small amount and it was nice to have them already there. Easy to find even on the narrow streets. Be sure to enter through the Porta Romana gate. Our Navigation took us in a different way through a ZTL one time. About 10 steps just inside front door that were unexpected but managed fine. Beautifully decorated and comfortable.

We really, really, really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO and in Viterbo every day for the entire two week visit. Paola was absolutely incredibly responsive to everything - every email, every text and went way out of her way to assist us, even going to the train station to help us figure out how to get to our next destination in Assisi. She was incredible and very, very much appreciated. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and in Viterbo. Everything was well stocked, clean, and very comfortable. We cooked many of our meals at home, and while not a gourmet kitchen, it was very adequate for our needs.I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone traveling to the Viterbo area.

A great property in a great walking city - close to everything. A great jumping off place for day trips in Lazio like Bolsena and Orvieto. Also, the Porta Romana train station is a 6 minute walk - from there you have access to all of Italy. Many excellent restaurants are within a six minute walk - there’s even a great Italian steakhouse, Lo Spito, 50 feet from the condo. The place is a real gem.

This apartment is a great home base if you want to visit all the neighboring towns such as Bomarzo, Orvieto or Bagnoregio. It's inside the walled city of Viterbo, which feels like something straight out of Game of Thrones! Our host, Paola, was wonderful and welcoming and met us at the apartment. There is a large garage to park in and the apartment itself is lovely and big. We especially loved the bedroom upstairs. You can easily walk to many cool bars and restaurants. The San Pellegrino area is very hip and very happening on the weekends! We loved it here and would definitely come back!

If you'd like to immerse yourself in Italian culture, this is most certainly the way to do it. We enjoyed three weeks in this wonderful apartment steeped in history but renovated to a high standard. Paula has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and was completely accessible anytime I had the occasion to reach out to her (via WhatsApp). The kitchen was well used during my stay. It has a gas stovetop and electric oven which work great. The cookware is adequate and utensils, although counter space is limited. There is a good-sized refrigerator, which is often not the case in European rentals. There were some herbs, salt/pepper, olive oil, and even some pasta and rice available. The beds are comfortable and the linen nice, and plenty of clean towels. We slept super well, very quiet despite being in the center of a city. Arriving at the end of August, the AC was most appreciated and worked quite well. After about 10 days we never used it again. The town of Viterbo is charming and you'll find everything you need within walking distance. We loved the pace of life there... the church bells ring at 7:30 am - although not loud enough to wake you up if sleeping. Lots of nice coffee shops and eating places. Hardly heard any English spoken anywhere, which we loved. There are so many lovely towns and thermal spring baths around Viterbo, and lots of Etruscan history there. We can't wait to go back! Thank you Paula!
