The property fully lived up to expectations and provided us with a comfortable base to our short break in Ripon.

Fabulous Loved it all

The central location was perfect, right on the town square and only a few minutes walk to the cathedral and a number of pubs. The facilities were excellent, venue very clean and the milk in fridge for arrival was a nice welcome touch.

Positive review The location of this property is superb. It overlooks the market square, very close to local cafes and shops and a two minute walk to Ripon Cathedral. In addition it’s a short car ride to other local towns and villages such as Harrogate and Ripley. The apartment itself is finished to a very high standard, it’s well equipped, modern and comfortable. The allocated parking space is a bonus too. Overall it’s an absolute gem of a property.

The flat is in a great central location in Ripon. The flat is clean and looks as in photos. I had no problem parking at the back and then bringing suitcase up the back stairs. Flat had everything that I needed and Ripon has a good variety of shops nearby. If you don't want to drive then there are buses to Harrogate/York/and other local places.

What a fantastic little apartment - spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped! Right in the middle of Ripon with a parking space and within walking access to pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. Highly recommended.

Location, cleanliness and comfort

The location of the apartment was excellent. We were able to walk to Ripon Racecourse and enjoyed being in walking distance of lots of restaurants and shops.

My wife and I booked a classic car picnic (from Classic Car Picnics - recommended!) for our wedding anniversary and needed a place to stay in North Yorkshire. The apartment is right in the middle of Ripon, within easy walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants. Parking was a bonus and the accommodation was comfortable and quiet despite being right above a bar. The Ripon Hornblower appeared every single night right outside of the apartment and showed the level of civic pride displayed locally. There is lots to do in the area, and we spent a day on the coast, another on the moors and another on the Dales (as James Herriot fans, we enjoyed Grassington and Thirsk) and we also walked the length of the Ripon canal, with a picnic lunch supplied by the baker in the market square. I’d heartily recommend the black pudding sausage roll. Overall, an excellent break, and I’d recommend the apartment for anybody needing to stay in the locality.

Great location in the centre. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. We had an issue with the parking space on arrival (code for lock didn't work), but they were very quick to come by to resolve for us. Would stay here again.

Linen and towels were very fresh and spotless to add to our comfort. It is located within the middle of Ripon which was great with shops, restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. The parking space was easy to access and nice and wide for bigger cars. There are stairs involved for access but this is made clear by the host. We enjoyed the exercise in any event. We met most of the neighbours during our stay and they were very friendly too. We would highly recommend this property to others and would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location. Very clean and comfortable apartment and have stayed twice now with plans to go back. Olivers Pantry amazing for breakfast& lunch and Marios for dinner. Can highly recommend!

Pristine, clean, comfortable bed, fabulous location, everything we needed was there. Very much home from home, VERY highly recommended. Nothing, other than perhaps rather too many scented sticks. Their scent was beautiful, but caused me a slight headache by the end of our stay.

Great apartment in excellent location with car parking space Sadly on my second visit to this property it was much nosier than last time. There was a lot of late night noise from the Wetherspoons pub opposite and the adjoining apartment had a late and noisy party! Not ideal when you are working!

Had a hiccup with bedding for the sofa bed on arrival. Couldn't contact the agent because it was a Sunday, but the owner sorted it out on Monday. Happy to recommend again, just make sure they know if you're planning on using the sofa bed.

Great location in the lovely Ripon. Very clean and all very organised. Would stay again. More mugs and towels.

The apartment was in a great position overlooking the market square in Ripon. All amenities literally on your doorstep ! Lovely sitting to eat at the table and people watching ! Very clean and well presented. Well equipped kitchen, pint of milk was a lovely touch as well as the complementary tea and coffee. Private parking a bonus, access stairs to the back of the property from parking spot not for the infirm ! Was race weekend and we were anxious about noise but great double glazing which kept noise out. Nothing really but as others have pointed out the bath towels need to be bigger , a bath sheet would be perfect. Not a complaint but the shower needs another sealant strip along the bottom of the door to stop water going all over the floor.

Excellent location for Ripon town centre and cathedral, allocated parking, space and layout of flat. Good quality furniture, fittings and kitchen crockery, pans, cutlery. Nice touch providing fresh milk in the fridge. Good helpful service from finest retreats. This is our 2nd visit and we hope to be back next year too. Struggling to suggest something.

This would be one of the best apartments we have found in over 20 years of European travel. The owner has added so many touches that it feels like home. There is not one thing which didn’t match the description. It was spotlessly clean & the welcome could not have been warmer even more so because of our personal circumstances & the fact that our early arrival caused some issues for the owner & cleaner. We needed some quiet time because of our personal issues. & we could not have been happier with our stay. Would we come back? In a heartbeat!
