Manti Cottage, Historic Pioneer Home

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Manti Cottage. It was full of interesting history and antiques. Every detail has been thoughtfully placed The original artwork throughout the cottage was fantastic. I definately recommend staying here.

Beautifully restored 1851 home offers unique experience. Meet the owners who shared more of the history and extended our checkout time so we could enjoy a relaxing weekend with a sister I rarely get time with. We will be coming again.

It was wonderful! Perfect old cottage—authentic for sure. It was a little dusty and drafty, but it’s super old, which gives it its fun charm! Has tons of beds, cool cave-like shower, and a really nice kitchen :-).

The Manti Cottage is a quaint historical home with lots of charm and personality. We loved our stay. The kitchen was well equipped for fixing meals and the dining/living room area was comfortable to eat and relax in. The stairs are very steep and the last step coming down has a bit of a slope so be careful! Thank you for a wonderful stay we enjoyed learning about the history of this charming home.

Wonderfully historic home with detailed information on many historical items in the home. Stories about the homes builder and owners history were interesting to read. The hosts let us check in a little early to accommodate our schedule. The town of Manti is very friendly. The colors on Skyline drive ( one of the reasons for our trip) were breathtaking. There were a few issues with the functionality of the home, but hey it is a very old home. We had a great time staying at the Manti Cottage.

Loved the stay. We don’t have many options for historical stays in places like this one. Host was available and helpful.

This property was originally built in 1851! Fully restored and upgraded while staying true to its pioneer roots. It is about a two minute walk to the Manti temple.The owners were more than generous with our checkout time and obviously take great pride in this historic home. The home easily fit 10 adults. We highly recommend it!

The cottage was comfortable and clean. And while it had all the modern conveniences such as good A/C, nice bathrooms and showers, and comfy beds... it was also a portal to past with little notes that told about the history of the home and the furniture in it. Really cool! : ) A very nice place to stay that's close to so many fun outdoor adventures.

Historical cottage with the expected creaky old uneven floors, but made comfortable with air conditioning, modern kitchen and bathrooms, and linens, towels, and kitchen items. Check in was easy and the owner communicated quickly through VRBO. There was plenty of space for our family and for extended family members to come gather for dinner and conversation. We appreciated the 2.5 bathrooms. Information on use of the cottage is clearly spelled out in a binder and on small signs. Very convenient to the Manti Temple. Would stay here again.

We needed a place to stay close the the Manti Temple and could sleep our family of 10.This was perfect. The history of the home was delightful.

The restored home from 1841 couldn't be more comfortable. It was clean, well cared for and full of tidbits of historical items complete with descriptions. It was warm, clean and the owners were more than accomdating. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

This house was exactly as described! Perfect for our sisters weekend. Owners thought of everything when they stocked it with kitchen essentials.

This beautiful historic home was so fun to stay in. We loved the attention to detail in the decor and its vintage style. It was a treat to read about the historic details of the home and its restoration process. The location was perfect and close to everything we wanted to do. Thank you! The property was clean and very cool. But to tell you this is a real pioneer experience is an understatement. The floors flex beneath your weight and slope, and are quite dangerous if you may roll an ankle; you can literally see through to the ground level in areas. The beds may also come from the 1800s, you will feel every spring and hear every movement across the house. Just getting luggage up the steep and narrow staircase is an adventure. The hot water is minimal. When it says it sleeps 12 know that is in 3 bedrooms. Promises made by the property owner were not kept. While the owners are very kind and friendly had I understood what this home really was I may have paid to tour it but certainly not to sleep there. I literally laid awake most of the night wondering if the floors would support us. It was honestly scary

We stayed here the night before my daughter's wedding. It is such a fun house and is a step back in time! We love history and this house brought it to life! We would definitely stay here again when in Manti! Thank you for sharing it with us!

This little cottage in Manti was such a fun, charming, comfortable stay! We had so much fun learning all about everything that was historically restored in the house. The hosts were so great, kind, and so welcoming. The house was clean and we loved seeing the animals they have on their homestead! We would definitely come back if we make our way back to Manti, couldn’t recommend more!

We enjoyed this house in Manti, plenty of beds for our group. The house was so close to the temple, the kids loved the goats out back. The house was clean, just the upholstery furniture in the family room could use a good deep cleaning. We appreciated the pioneer feel, well stocked cabinets, and warmth as we stayed on some extremely cold days. I would warn guests that the staircase is narrow and not possible to navigate for elderly.

There are lots of interesting antique furniture pieces with notes adding context. There are beautiful quilts throughout the house. This was a fun pioneer-ish experience, but with modern updates. Cupboards were stocked with a few things for us to fix a meal if we forgot to bring something.

It reminds me of the pioneer home in Fillmore where I grew up. A lot of history. Thanks for sharing it with us.

The Manti Cottage is a comfy place to stay. Much better than any hotel stay. The history of the place and town is such a wonderful added bonus for this history buff. We can't wait for our next stay!

We stayed at this sweet property with our youth group to see the Temple. It was full of character and charm! Had everything we needed and loved walking right outside the door and seeing the beautiful Manti Temple! We loved the special touches of history for the house as well… gave us a great connection to the past.

Cozy, clean, with comfortable beds, and stocked with all appliances/accoutrements we needed plus some.

Loved the renovation of this home and learning the history of it. Well done. The owners are easy to contact and work with. Great location. Thank you for a lovely stay.
