My multi-generational family had a fantastic stay at this home. The house is clean and very well organized. It was also the best stocked house any of us had ever stayed in. It is very well laid out for multiple families so that each family can have their own part of the house - my sister was able to put her baby to bed and not worry about noise waking them. The biggest hit with the kids was definitely the pinball machines. I had planned many activities for us but the kids barely wanted to leave the house. The adults also loved the pinball machines and the views from the house. We hope to stay again!
The house is great and perfect for a large group. It is nice and clean. There is a lot of space. There is a big kitchen and then two big common spaces in the gameroom and family room. The design is a bit unusual - there are four separate upstairs bedrooms that are all accessed by separate stairs and do not connect on the 2nd floor. This results in a lot of privacy for people in those rooms. By my count, there are 7 bedrooms. The setting is private and 5-10 minutes from Manchester Center, which has great restaurants, grocery store, etc. There is also a ton of outdoors stuff to do nearby. A few drawbacks - The lawn area is not very big and not great for lawn games. The deck is great but there wasn't furniture outside of some folding chairs, which was odd. All in all, our group of 10 adults was happy with the house and would recommend it.
The house is beautiful and the host and property manager are responsive and pay great attention to detail. My friends and I (group of 16) travel to Vermont annually for the past 7 years and this is by far one or the best houses we've stayed at. The house is thoughtfully laid out. Everything is labeled including light switches, cabinets, etc. Most labels have QR codes and you can simply scan the code to learn how to use the appliance or trash rules for example. This made it very easy rather than having to figure out on your own how to use something you're unfamiliar with. The bedrooms are accurate with more beds than actually show which is great. There are twin bunks in the room that shows to twin beds and there are a couple of cribs in the rooms. It was also very nice that 2 rooms had separating walls as it allowed more privacy to couples sharing those rooms. The floors throughout the home are heated which is awesome. The beds were new and very comfortable. One thing to note is to bring your own bedding if you are allergic to down because every comforter in the house is made with feathers. The pillows are fine though. After texting the owner and manager, they were very responsive and shared where I could find fleece throw blankets. The location of this house is also fantastic. You are a 5 minute ride from the bars and restaurants in downtown Manchester. You are also only 30 min from Stratton. The hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive. They gave us both early check-in and late checkout without even requesting it. We requested someone to come sand and salt a couple of times and they sent them right away. Besides that, we didn't really have to reach out to them otherwise and had no issues with the house. It's in perfect condition! There are endless games to play as well! There are board games, children's toys, ping pong, and pinball machines. The property is also very expansive, so we brought snow shoes and explored just on the property of the house itself. There are also two areas of space separated by a mud room. This worked well for our group as those that typically go to bed early stayed in one side and those that stay up late stayed in the otherwise that had all the common areas we hung in all weekend. We will definitely be booking this house again for our Winter Weekend in 2023, can't wait!
What a fantastic property to stay at with our family! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to this beautiful mountain property. The grounds were lovely to walk around with gentle hikes around the pond and woods and river. We had a little bit more adventurous, hikes, going up and down some of the steeper areas as well. We skied Bromley Mountain, which was a short drive in the morning. The house was equipped with everything we could want for a fantastic stay. The caretaker, Millie, was extraordinarily available and went above and beyond to make sure all of our requests and needs were met. The house was everything we expected, and more!
A+ all the way. There were so many great things about our stay in this home. Here are a few: 1. It fit all of us comfortably. The bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed and great for families w kids of all ages. 2. Location. Close to town, but tucked away in a very private, quiet setting. 3. Very well appointed kitchen. The kitchen had everything and then some. From enough plates and bowls to serve a large crowd, 2 fridges, double oven, many different appliances and gadgets for proper food prep, this place had everything. 4. Family spaces: The game room was a huge hit, the large great room with TV was an awesome place to hang out, and the deck and backyard perfect for evening cocktails and grilling.
Great place for large families with multiple kids. Plenty of space to keep adults and children separated, so adults can keep socializing after the children are asleep.
2nd time at this location. Great for families.
They say first impressions are important. Potholed driveway and front door in need of paint. Walk in and several of the glass sliders had broken seals. Everything we needed and more. Fixtures were new but other areas were in need of repair (behind refrigerator for example). No reading lights on entire first floor just overheads. Electronics were inconsistent with rest of house. We enjoyed except tide back and forth to center and up long rutted driveway
good service, quick response from property manager, beautiful house, great location Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others
We just got back from the house and wanted to leave a review. The house was perfect for sharing with families. The bedroom and bathroom configuration allowed for very flexible sleeping arrangements. Some nights the kids wanted to share rooms together, other nights they wanted to be closer to their parents. The sleeping arrangements made this moving around possible. The kitchen is nice and big and well stocked. There are two fridges which definitely came in handy for stocking up on supplies for the week that we were there. The house had many fun things to do: 2 large tv's, video games, pinball, pool table/ping pong table kept us entertained when we weren't outside. The proximity of the house to beautiful hiking trails was definitely a bonus. Just two minor things to keep in mind when selecting this house: Though the ad shows that there are 40 acres to the property, most of it is hilly, wooded or features a stream or pond, so there isn't that much flat playing surface, though there was enough to play catch or kick a soccerball around. Secondly, there is a small weber portable bbq grill to use. It's not tiny, you can fit about 6 steaks on it at a time, but it's not one of those fancy gourmet grills that you might have. These weren't issues, but just something to keep in mind when booking. We had a great stay and both the property manager and owner were very responsive to questions. We would definitely love to come back!
