Scott, Louisiana
Hey y'all! Come stay in the second oldest home in Scott built in 1887, this well cared for Victorian cottage has all of today's amenities. Located in the heart of old Scott, restaurants, antiques and churches are all within walking distance. Enjoy a cup of coffee on either of the two adorable porches or relax by the fireplace with a hot cup of cocoa on those chilly nights. Read a book or visit in the quaint the library. This home has much sentimental value being the prior residence of Zachary Richard's parents, our cousin and world renown musician so we'd like to share it with you. With it's twelve foot ceilings, there is an overly spacious feel and sense of comfort here.
Come stay with us.
Merci,
La Famille des Richard

Very comfortable - had both a living room and a sitting room - everything you needed to feel at home was there. Bedrooms were spacious No complaints whatsoever
While the home itself is beautiful there should be upgrades made before the home lives up to previous experiences I’ve had with Vrbo homes. The beds where THE most uncomfortable I’ve experienced & there literally is no shower. No shower head, only a bathtub that may be difficult for some. The house is on a busy street with loud traffic well into the night. The location is handy but the comfort was significantly lacking.
Mr. Jared was easy to communicate with, and this home was a dream. Well kept, clean, lots of historic information on both the home and the town inside the home. We stayed during one of the hottest weekends of the summer and the house was cool. We travel to the Scott area often and we will most certainly stay here again. 10/10 recommend.
Easy booking and responsive host.
Jared was easy to work with and communicated with us upon check in. Property was charming and a vintage home as advertised. Home needs some repair work to the exterior and rails. Porch chairs need to be replaced. I was afraid to use them in case they broke. The tub in the main house didn’t have a shower and the carport shower wasn’t very clean. We made it work but it wasn’t ideal. Overall it was a nice stay and we were happy with the accommodations.
Very clean. Loved the bath tub. The porches etc…
Property as advertised, clean nice and quiet.
This beautiful house and it’s history made for for a perfect trip. The location was great for the wedding we attended in Lafayette and were able to be close to our family in the surrounding areas.
The stay was very enjoyable. House is a nod to history, well located, far enough from I-10 to not here noise, yet close enough to quickly get to all the boudin and Cajun food places.
This charming house had everything we needed for a very pleasant and relaxing stay. It was conveniently located close to some local restaurants and a coffee house. Our family of four and dog thoroughly enjoyed our long tranquil weekend!
