Mahogany Point 3 – A Beachfront Townhouse with amazing views-by Cayman Villas

Great property.

Beautiful home located on the East side. Home was equipped with everything we needed. If you like secluded this is your place.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Villa is great. Well appointed, recently remodeled, very comfortable. This was our fourth time to Grand Cayman and we wanted to try a different location. Just came with my husband; left the kids at home. We were hoping the north side would be a good place to bring the kids and save some $ compared to 7 Mile. But the beach and location was disappointing. Lots of seaweed washed up on the beach, I mean whole wheel-barrows full, with the occasional trash. You can't really walk the beach much, as you'll be walking past trash and seaweed. Entering the water is a bit tricky due to the iron shore, and the reef is very close to shore, so there is not a large area of calm water; especially as you're on the windy side of the island. I'd recommend the association hire daily cleaning of the beach/grounds to remove the seaweed and trash. It really detracted from the typical tropical/paradise feel of the Island. It would be OK for a couple, wouldn't recommend for kids, as we thought if we brought our kids we'd constantly be packing them into the car and heading to Rum Point or Morrits for better beach, restaurants, etc.

We loved the outdoor area and the kayak and paddle boards. If you come, make sure you have water shoes as the beach in front of the house has a lot of rock and coral. The house was clean upon our arrival and Chloe, the property manager, was very helpful. The only thing we had trouble with were the TVs. There were multiple remote controls, but no directions on how to use them. The tv in the upstairs bedroom didn’t even have a remote so that one was never able to be used. However, we weren’t there to watch tv. We had an amazing trip and had a lot of fun excursions on the island. We also like the fact that this property was on the north shore away from the traffic of the west side of the island. Overall, it was very enjoyable and I would recommend staying at Mahogany Point.

It was exactly as described and pictured and met our high expectations and exceeded them a bit in hominess and comfort. It was lovely and had most everything we wanted/needed. Not having a door on the primary bedroom upstairs is weird and uncomfortable but we knew this ahead of time and just used the other 2nd floor bedroom's bathroom. Warning: the staircase steps have short rise and run. With size 12 feet, I was forced to walk duck-foot and carefully when descending. Enough toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen sponge, dish soap and trash bags were provided for more than our 2 person 10 day stay. I used the pool only a couple times but it sure was pleasant. Property manager Chloe was very pleasant, responsive and effective. Curious how quickly we adapted to the heat/humidity - when we arrived, we needed the a/c at 75 but within a couple days, we had it at 79 or 80. HVAC worked very well. Had fabulous dinners at Tukkas East End almost every night! Used the villa's charcoal grill for one dinner - perfect! Almost all grocery shopping was done at Foster's Countryside in Savannah with minor purchases at helpful Chisholm's Grocery just up the street from the villa. We would definitely return to this villa. May 10-20, 2025.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The views of the ocean out the big sliding glass windows was tremendous.The reef was close from the shore, and very easy to snorkel.Kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals.Overall a great place, highly recommend.

We loved everything about this house, it was perfect for our family of 5 including 3 teenagers. My two boys did not care for sharing a king bed, but other than that, it perfectly met our needs. The upstairs rooms did not have a door on the bathroom but we were able to hang a sheet blocking the toilet and shower for some privacy. The place was decorated very modern, we loved it and felt right at home, it was exactly our style. It was clean and clutter-free. Chloe was a delight to deal with, stopped by our first day and immediately got back to me with a non-urgent question. There was plenty of supplies for snorkeling and fun at the pool, including water shoes and floaties. And while the shore immediately facing our unit was rocky, just a few feet down the shore is sand and easier access. My favorite spots were the upstairs balcony and the patio off the living room, however since my kids became fast friends with the resident chickens, the animals were constantly hanging out on our patio expecting to be fed. We named the 3 smaller birds, toes (male who would peck my husband's toes!), chicken (she was shy) and sis. My kids enjoyed them quite a bit! Overall it was perfect for us!

This property was very clean and offered waterfront, ocean views from the lower living and dining room and kitchen and the upstairs primary bedroom. Very nearby was a sandy entrance to the water and the snorkeling there was good. The manager, Chloe, was a pleasure to interact with. The neighborhood chickens were cute.

The villa was sparkingly clean and just as depicted in the photos. We spent most of the vacation lounging on the covered porch in the comfy furniture! Loved kayaking and snorkeling right there...equipment was great!

We really enjoyed the location of the house! Not to much traffic and close to Rum point which turned out to be one of favorite spots. We spent many morning and nights hanging out in the back deck talking and enjoying the waves crash against the shore.

We loved our stay except the mattress in the master front bedroom NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. We had to rearrange sleeping due to the master bed being horrible to sleep in. We actually needed to use a heating pad during the week because our backs were so sore from sleeping in it. A very uncomfortable stay. Getting any of the extra pieces out of the storage unit was difficult as well. Paddle boards, chairs, etc. too difficult to remove so we didn't use them. Other than this, we enjoyed our stay. The water from the beach is not accessible to swim in. You definitely need a swim shoe in order to get in the water in front of the house we wound up going to run point instead every day.

Property is in process of construction and we were not informed that side walks and pool were being worked on during our stay before we left. We knew this side of the island would be rough in October and having toddlers with us we had banked on using the pool. It was not possible most days of our stay. The bath upstairs began leaking water profusely into the ceiling of the kitchen on our first day. The property manager responded quickly and the rental company gave us a small reimbursement for the trouble. The rooms had comfortable beds and the reef was very close. Small well stocked grocery store writhing walking distance. Kitchen well stocked. Cabinets made of laminate were peeling during our stay and the manager was notified. Communication was very good. Overall a beautiful stay with room for improvement in communication on the front end of what to expect regarding construction.

Ease and comfort. Property exactly as described and reviewed by others. Key for our family was comfy beds, good view, nice kitchen, paddle boards, and good snorkeling. We were on scuba dive vacation. We have always stayed north end of 7 mile beach and looking to explore north and east side. We scuba dove every morning and snorkeled in afternoon (10 feet from house). We saw more marine life on coral heads outside the house than we did on scuba dives. The coral heads stretch a mile literally from 10 feet to 100 yards from house and all very shallow and accessible. (too bad not lobster season, they were everywhere) Special thanks to Chloe the property manger. We had dead car battery on day 2 and her husband and nephew came out to jump the car and they left us with a battery jumper just in case. We ended up needing it again and had car rental company replace the battery after that. It was no big deal to them and big deal to us. Thanks

Great snorkeling out the back door. Safe area. Nice home. Lots of kitchen supplies.
