Magnolia Cottage Cozy Home

Love this house! Clean and comfortable. we never felt crowded. Very well appointed kitchen. Easy walk to State Street for dining and shopping.

Magnolia Cottage provided a wonderful base camp as we welcomed our new granddaughter into the world. Bear Cave as our 4-year old grandson nicknamed Magnolia Cottage provided hours of play time (including wrestling), food preparation, baking and even a gingerbread house build. Particulars:The house itself is charming - 3 nice bedrooms, 2 baths.All the beds are comfortable, well pillowed. Kitchen is well appointed - has anything you will need, including a hand mixer for gingerbread house mixing. Viking Stove. Bosch dishwasher. Living room/Dining room are cozy - and we hosted 7 for Thanksgiving Dinner. The backyard/patio area is really nice - but you'll need to visit during warmer months to enjoy it. IF you are including work in your visit - there is a full service desk area with lots of plugs, printer, paper, and more. (fortunately, we are retired)Washer and dryer are top of the line - we used both as ours was a 5-week stay. The listing says narrow driveway and they are not kidding. You should have very good backup camera - or be a better driver than me - to negotiate the driveway. One parking tip: Street parking is by permit on the even side of the street...on 407 E. side the only thing you have to worry about is Street Sweeping from 8-10am on Mondays (I think). I almost never do reviews - but Magnolia Cottage deserves all 5 stars. Hope you enjoy it, too.

Loved the location close to downtown. Neighbor’s houses on either side were pretty rundown. Home was comfortable and nicely appointed, albeit a little eclectic. Loved Santa Barbara. The property managers were very responsive and the property services (lawn mowing, etc) were stellar.

I was very impressed with this home. The yard is very well maintained. The property is very dog friendly. Location with off the street parking and a 2 car garage was great! I would highly recommend this house. I have already booked it again for 2024

In our 12 years of using VRBO houses, this is our favorite. Super central location, easy walk to County Courthouse and State Street. It is well stocked and has a gorgeous backyard. Charming barely describes it. The two months went by too quickly.

From the wall of bamboo to the lavendar and fire pot, the backyard was a treat. The kitchen was well stocked. Great location, too!

This home is really lovely. The neighborhood is fantastic and very walkable to State Street and the beach. I felt safe walking alone by myself. There are several cute sitting areas on the property to enjoy the evening breeze. The neighbors are very nice, the kitchen was fantastic for making meals. it was really hard to leave this house

This property is wonderful. It felt like a home, not a professional rental. The garden and outdoor space was super. We fell in love with it after staying for a month and would rent again if possible.

We experimented with leaving the northern cold for CA sun in January. This palace was perfect for my wife and I, as newly retired snowbirds. It was quaint, cozy, quiet, and comfortable. We love Santa Barbara and this property fit our needs for a month away to the sun. We spent lots of time on the back deck.

Stayed for a month at this sweet property. Was even better than the description and photos made it appear. Spotless, super quiet - yet short walk to State Street - made it a great place to get away and recharge. Communication with property manager - Spenser - was excellent.
