SafelyStay, Inc., verifies the identity of guests and checks criminal databases in order to confirm reservations.



TRUST & SAFETY

The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury.

    Overview:- The heat was out in November, we had one day's heads up that part of the house would need space heaters, and they didn't offer a refund or to let us cancel. - Neither VRBO nor ABODEbucks took appropriate steps to resolve the situation, despite repeated attempts to get this issue addressed. - I reported the wiring issue to the city to trigger an inspection.More details:The owner isn't doing a great job maintaining an old house. The wiring is a fire hazard, and the heat was out. ABODEbucks let us know the day before that one floor wouldn't have heat, but that space heaters would take care of the issue and the rest of the house was warm and cozy. Not the case.There were 11 of us hosting Thanksgiving for our elderly parents, so there weren't many options. They said the space heaters should help and that the issue was just the first floor. We didn't have any financial recourse offered, so we went ahead and stayed there.The house is beautiful, but the wiring is ancient and the power kept going out. We found a full diaper under one of the beds, and everything had dust on it.I spent the better part of our holiday trip going to basement to figure out which breaker popped, taping up signs that the heater and the TV couldn't be on at the same time, and trying without luck to get ABODEbucks to at least send over more blankets.We left a day early, and received a 25% refund.I guess we're going to stay at hotels from now on.

    The house itself was great. Clean, updated and plenty of bedrooms. The location of the house was the issue. There are some dilapidated building all around the house. The street itself is gated on one end, so it does cut down on traffic. We didn’t have any issues at the house, but the ride to and from the house was sketchy.

    Enjoyed the home for the most part…had issues with the 3rd floor area being too warm w/ limited air flow of AC, and no ceiling fans; also neighborhood was run down and unkept yards, and unfortunately had a loud drive by shooting across the street at 2:30am last night w/ cops showing up to investigate …would pick a different location next time

    Overall, our stay was just short of EXCELLENT. The house is simply beautiful and every one of us just loved it. The combination of Victorian and Neuvo-loft details is fantastic (exposed brick, wainscoting, and raised panel accents AMAZING). Property manager communication and responsiveness was stellar. Cleaning crew needs more oversight - the kitchen surfaces and appliances were not as clean as they could/should have been especially given COVID in the area. Towels in the master bedroom although clean had to be dried. Initial supplies: cookware, dishware, cutlery, pots and pans were more than sufficient for the potential max capacity. Over the last 3 days ants and centipedes were a minor problem in the living area off the kitchen. We have a few suggestions to improve this property and elevate its appeal/repeat business. Post/have on hand a list of local emergency contacts as well as for ABODEBUCKS. Improve/upgrade the basement space for an additional sleeper/sofa/sitting option and game room (pool/table tennis/air hockey/board games, etc.). Consider complete enclosure of the back yard and adding covered outdoor seating and/or picnic table. The ultimate evaluation is of course would we stay there again? That is a resounding YEBETCHA we would - hopefully next summer. 4.75 stars!!!!
