Magical Sunsets and Breathtaking Views in Heathsville/Wicomico River- Sleeps 10

Very peaceful and clean and panorama view.

Absolutely gorgeous views of the water both in front of the house and to the side. Plenty of plates, cups, silverware for our family along with little extras like salt, pepper, and sugar.in the cupboard. Coffee bar had a regular coffee maker and a Keurig single serve. Nice size stainless steel fridge to.hokd our groceries. Host was quick to respond. Deck could use a sanding and new stain - it's rough on bare feet. The indication of a beach was a little disappointing - there is no beach. But there is a place to put in the 2 kayaks that the owners are kind enough to provide. Be careful of jellyfish if you are in the water. Furniture seems new for the most part and the house seems freshly painted. I do wish there was more lighting in the front room for working on a puzzle. The dining table does not have an overhead light and there is no nearby lamp. Wonderful stay overall and excellent hosts and neighbors. It's very cool to be next to the ferry too. Loved having use of a dock. And we appreciated the extra blankets because it got quite chilly at night.

The location and views really are as fantastic as they look in the pictures. The house is lovely and in a rural area with lots of farm fields. Owners were very responsive to a couple of questions. We ate most meals on the deck. The ferry next door is neat (and quiet) - we enjoyed both watching it and taking it across. The kayaks look new; unfortunately it was too windy during our stay to use them. The dock (to the right) is in excellent condition. The only downside at all from our trip was what someone else mentioned in the comments - the cookware is non-stick and terribly scratched up which is not healthy. So if that bothers you, you might bring your own pan. Otherwise fully equipped, even a pizza cutter, with very nice kitchen appliances including a toaster oven, microwave, waffle-maker and crock pot. Food Lion is 20 minutes away. We drove to Kilmarnock to the Compass Entertainment Center which is clean, well-run and very cool for teenagers...really well done. I would highly recommend this house and would definitely rent it again. It is quite the amazing piece of property - basically a corner lot on the water.

The home is in a beautiful spot and we enjoyed visiting local family and friends while we stayed here over Christmas. Enjoyed our stay very much ! Would love to stay again in warmer weather.

House was perfect for our needs! The extra kitchen cane in handy for Thanksgiving prep. The views were even more breathtaking than the pictures. Will absolutely look forward to renting again. Thank you!

We had a great stay and want to go back again. The water views are fabulous! We enjoyed using the kayaks and it was fun to ride the ferry. The unexpected nice bonus was that there are doors separating the dining and living room area and hall which was great to keep our 1 1/2 yr old grandson in one room. We brought a gate for the kitchen which worked out great. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating is because the pots and pans non stick surface was very scratched and peeling so we didn’t feel they were safe to use. Thankfully we brought our own frying pan and large pot.The owner was very responsive when we needed life jackets that were missing and with other questions. We loved staying here. Thank you for making our stay a vacation to remember.

A wonderful location on the water with great views. Within a very easy and short drive to either Reedville. Kilmarnock, Irvington, White stone etc. Small tip if you plan on eating meals at the house, may be best to plan ahead and bring groceries with you. That was our plan and it really worked out.

Beautiful view but house needs some TLC and to be cleaned more thoroughly.

This property was beautiful and was everything we were looking for in a last minute getaway on the water.

The communication with the home owners (Debbie, Uzma) was excellent throughout. That allowed us to feel more at ease from the very start. All of us enjoyed the close proximity to the water along with the generous availability of the kayaks. We spent several hours touring the nearby coves and taking in all the sights and sounds. When it was too warm at certain points of the day, we were able to stretch out and enjoy the living room area that allowed us to still take in all the views of the river. The kitchen and the home were well supplied with all the necessary items that one could ask for during their stay. Furthermore, we had a memorable experience during our stay at Ophelia’s Point. We already spoke about the strong possibility of making the trip back down to NN of Virginia in the near future. Thank you again for making our stay such a wonderful one!! Don’t pass up the opportunity of crossing the river on the cable ferry :)

Lovely shade and plenty of space and fresh air. Don’t miss out on doing the ferry (closed on Sundays I believe)

We recently stayed at this property and overall had a wonderful experience. Communication with the owner was excellent—she was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The house was clean and well-stocked, which made settling in easy.That said, if you plan on doing a lot of cooking (which you likely will, as there aren't many local restaurants), it would be helpful to have larger pots for steaming crabs and more storage containers for leftovers.The views and the surrounding grounds were absolutely stunning—peaceful, scenic, and truly memorable. However, I would not recommend this property for families with children. Due to the presence of oyster pots, crab pots, and jellyfish in the water, swimming and water activities are very limited, which may be disappointing for kids looking to enjoy the water.All in all, a beautiful getaway spot for adults looking to relax and enjoy nature.

Had an amazing week at Ophelia Point...amazing views of the river with everything we needed included at the house! Very spacious outside and we loved sitting by the fire every night under the stars looking out into the water! The house had everything we needed inside with a nice welcome basket when we arrived. Debbie, the co-host, was very easy to get in touch with prior to our trip and answe red all of our questions before our arrival...thank you so much!Our only suggestions...The deck could use a sanding and new paint job. The dock definitely needs updated as the boat lift is not useable and falling over. The neighbor Steve who shares it was great and helped us out alot when the weather got rough a few times with our boat in the water. There really is not an area to sit next to the water.We loved exploring the river, fishing the jettie and taking the boat out into the Chesapeake Bay and beaching it and enjoying the beauty of the area. If you have a boat it is definitely not a recreational river with crab pots and oyster farms everywhere which we did not expect, but we took advantage of being in the water as much as possible!

Adorable home with an amazing view from any window! We kayaked right from the dock. The view is why you stay here! Breathtaking! Management responded quickly. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone who loves the water and views.

There was a snag in us staying but no fault of the property owner. The recent hurricane had caused unusually high waters and waves which made the dock unaccessible for us as my husband has a leg disability and could not get to the dock to fish as fishing was our #1 objective for our trip. Everything else was absolutely beautiful! When we informed of leaving and finding another location we were treated very fairly.

My family was absolutely in love with this place. The views were magical, the place was peaceful, getting to see deers every single day was truly special. The home was equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen had all of the necessary appliances and resources. The host was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!
