Stayed May 24, 2022We had a fabulous time at La Mourrade for a college reunion of 7 women (after many years!) - if anything, the place is even nicer than the photos. It was a warm May, so we used all the terraces for eating - and enjoyed the magnificent views. We also used the pool! The decor and furnishings are very nice - including the ‘themed’ bedrooms. Lots of bathrooms - there can be six separate bedrooms but some walk through others and for toilet etc. But plenty of space and character - to figure out how it best fits your group (and 3 living rooms too - for winter groups). The kitchen was amazing - and worked really well for an ‘in villa’ cooking class we were able to arrange. It’s possible to walk to/from the town of Cadenet - which does have a number of good restaurants, but we chose to drive in the evenings, since it’s a bit of a walk back up. Location is good for exploring (with car) the Luberon - we went to Aix-en-Provence and Cassis and did a wine tasting tour. Avignon also doable. Visit very nearby Lourmarin! (And the chateau ruins right down the road). The concierge company the host used was great - good responsiveness and great resource to figure out things - met us there (follow directions carefully first time). Any glitches at the house were taken care of efficiently. Communication with Robin was very good too online. Be careful if booking on VRBO - I was charged in Australian dollars which was weird… when I tried to get help from VRBO, they didn’t. (You can also book elsewhere if this problem happens btw).
