Luxury sound-front home with private pool, hot tub, & dock

We had stayed there before and loved it, this year we brought down 2 jet ski’s for the boys 6 grand sons and the dads took turns as well. The weather was ideal and as always the home was perfect. I’d like to thank the owner of the home opening it up to us and the three generations that were able to enjoy a super week on the sound.

Our 3 generation family of 20 had a fabulous time at this house. The kitchen was large and double everything was a huge bonus. The kids had a blast in the pool and playing in the house. The large family room sat the whole family comfortably. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing house, amazing vacation! Pool was massive. Sound was great (only about 1.5 ft deep max). Views were the best. Elevator made the massive house more accessible. Only downside was how far out of civilization you are. If it wasn't so expensive, we would be back every year!

This was our second year renting this house. We loved it so decided to come back, that was even after they raised the rates by almost $1500 for same week. I had left a hit list of items last year that apparently was ignored. First of all for a house of this quality, there should be a working grill not one that had one of the burners not working and the others were mostly clogged with uneven heat, plus a lot of rust on it. Last year, they wheeled in a new grill for us as the gas line was rigged and not working. Apparently, that was taken away and we were left to deal with the one that should be replaced. $500 for a new grill, a good investment for future rentals. Pool water level was very low by day 2, so fortunately we are pool owners and realized that the filter was sucking air. I also informed them perhaps there was a leak. Not sure if it was serviced the day we arrived. Vacasa....I was worried right off the start when Outer Beaches sold to them. We had a bad experience two years ago and apparently things haven't changed. First of all, we could speak to no one about issues that we had at the house. I always had to text them and they said someone would be out. It took four days for a local person to come out. The top oven didn't heat up (same issue last year), the freezer was leaking water, the door handle fell off in main living area (same as last year) in addition to many other small things. Also, I had reached out specifically before we came down to ask if there was a blender (told no, but there were 3!), if there was a keurig (told no, but there was 1), if they had finally put the ice maker back in the upper bar area (told yes, but it was still a big hole). Basically I don't think they reached out to local management, or local management just didn't care. I love this house and all that it has to offer, but now I see that Vacasa has increased the rate again and added their charges of close to $1000 to the rental. I will most likely not being coming back again sadly. I will say we did get in the house by 1pm, so thankfully that was a surprise as they wouldn't let us get early check-in. The cleaning people were nice and told us the one drawer wouldn't open in kitchen, so we called management about that as I didn't want to get charged for something we didn't do. The most disappointing thing was just not being able to speak to someone. In the past Outer Beaches would be out same day or the next day. I as the lead renter, kept having to listen to others tell me what was wrong. Takes away from me enjoying my vacation.

This home has everything possible needed for a perfect vacation- the kitchen is extremely well stocked, the house was spotless and the views endless. Would love to book again unfortunately the extra fees Vacsa has added into the rental price makes it unreasonable.

We absolutely loved the location of LV2KITE. Being right on the water and able to wake up and see the sound from in bed was amazing. The pool was great and watching the sunset from the hot tub was beautiful! We caught lots of fish right in our backyard. We loved this property and are thinking about renting it again next summer. Perfect for us affordable and beach front! Pet friendly neat and clean. They had beach gear for us and a well stocked kitchen needs! We felt right at home! Lovely laid back cottage, great for our family if kids and dogs! Lots of sleeping room. Well stocked kitchen! I also loved the selection of books! we loved that it was so close to the beach and the open manicured field next to the house!!. We missed the hatching of the sea turtles . the little buggers hatched while we were sleeping....oh well we`ll try again next year!!! Hatteras does not disappoint!!!!! The beach is beautiful and quiet, the pool and hot tub were an added bonus that everyone enjoyed. We had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy their vacation. We absolutely loved this home! We enjoyed the amazing views from the covered deck area each morning and evening. The home is designed with comfort in mind and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. It`s a quick walk to the pier on the sound and our kids enjoyed putting their kayaks in at the dock right in the neighborhood. The beach is also very close to this home. I greatly appreciated the owner of the home calling to make sure everything was satisfactory while we were there. We have been coming to Outer Banks/Hatteras Island area for over 10 years and I would honestly say that this house was my favorite hands down!
