Mauna Kea resort is located about a 35-minute drive North of Keahole-Kona Airport along the sunny Kohala Coast of Hawaii. Luxury Resort amenities include championship golf courses, award-winning tennis, dining, cultural activities, Workout facilities, and the ultimate resort experience.

The area is known for its world-class beaches, Golf courses and cultural and archaeological sites. Enjoy the humpback whale sightings during whale season between November and April.

Bluffs at Mauna Kea
The Bluffs at Mauna Kea is a 44 acre community of 20 luxury single family residential, some of the most unique private estates, located within the famed Mauna Kea Resort, many of which overlook the ocean, located between Hapuna Hotel and Mauna Kea Hotel and steps away from the ocean.

Other things to note:

- LUVA Vacation Rentals properties are professionally cleaned and have taken extra cleaning precautions to assure our arriving guests that they can vacation with confidence.

We wanted to provide you with some important information for our guests' in preparation for their vacation to Mauna Kea Resort



You need to know:

~Renovation - Mauna Kea Beach Hotel:

The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel began a $180M renovation on April 15, 2024. The work is beginning in the Main Tower and access to that area of the hotel including the lobby, marketplace and shops along the Koi Ponds is closed. In addition, the Mauna Kea Golf Course is closed and will reopen in early December 2024. Members and registered Residential Guests will continue to have access to parking (in the main parking lot), beach, pool & fitness centers and select restaurants. And, of course, registration provides access to The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort & Golf Course with all amenities available.



Holiday Booking Policy:

-->Please note; we can not accept or confirm Instant Bookings for our holiday seasons, December 15 - January 7, all years. Please email our Management team for availability and holiday season requirements and/or restrictions// Festive Seasons is non-refundable, non-changeable.

To ensure a seamless holiday experience, we have the following booking requirements for Christmas and New Year's stays:

- If booking over both Christmas and New Year's, a 14 night stay is required.
- If not staying for both holidays, check-in and check-out must fall between December 26–28.
