Luxury New Build, Steps to Beach w Elevator, Pool

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving together in this beautiful beach house!

Great location. Quiet neighborhood.

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! Communication with the host was smooth and pleasant from start to finish, which made the entire process stress-free. The house itself was spotless upon arrival – very clean and well-kept.It’s tucked away in a quiet, isolated spot that gave us a real sense of privacy, yet it was still super convenient. There was plenty of space inside and out, making it perfect for relaxing or gathering with friends and family. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials we needed to cook meals at home, and the fridge was a great size – definitely larger than the typical vacation rental!There’s a convenient foyer area right inside the entrance where we could drop our beach gear, which made cleanup easy after a day in the sand. The private pool and shower was a great bonus—clean, well-maintained, and perfect for cooling off after the beach. We also noticed there was a charcoal grill available; it was clean and in good condition, though we didn’t end up using it this trip.Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. A short 5-minute walk took us straight to the beach and back – no hassle at all. We were tempted to rent a golf cart (they're pretty popular around here), but honestly, we didn’t need it with everything so close. Publix, Lowe’s Foods, and other shops were just a quick drive away, which made grocery runs super easy.All in all, this house checked all the boxes. Would absolutely stay here again!

The house worked well for our family group, which included 4 teenagers, 3 parents, and 1 grandparent. We all had a wonderful time! The living spaces on two different floors and around the pool gave us lots of flexibility!!! The house was comfortable, and the kitchen was adequately equipped. The linen service should have left more towels, but there were just 8 of us, so it was not a problem. We rented an extended golf cart for the week, which I would recommend to all.

Can’t say enough about our stay! Relaxing, clean, love Ocean Isle. Communication with James & Booksmart properties before, during our stay was excellent. The house is quiet, clean and the elevator was such a plus. Everything was thought of, the home is well laid out. Pluses: In suite bedrooms for couples/privacy, big kitchen & dining room table (there were 8 of us), comfy, clean beds and furniture! Lovely outdoor spaces (decks), beautiful quiet pool and shade spaces, room for the dogs outside to roam and a lovely neighborhood to walk in. It’s obvious the home is new & cared for. You are an 5 min drive (or 15 min golf cart ride) to the main drag. Only con: you are off the beach so the view is not quite the same as oceanfront, and it’s a good block away…we rented a golf cart for the week. Lovely home, lovely owners, would stay again!

The house was beautiful and everything it claimed to be. We found the house to have everything we needed and more. The elevator was great for getting luggage to the main floor. It is a short and easy walk to the beach access. We highly recommend!

We had the best time here! Communication with the owner was easy and quick. The house has everything you could possibly want in a beach vacation home. Super comfortable with plenty of space for 7 of us, with room to spare. The home is beautiful, the backyard area with the pool, while too cold to use, was so nice to have. Easy 5 min walk to the beach access. Kitchen and appliances were immaculate. The outdoor space was plentiful with so much deck space. Would definitely stay here again asap.

James at BookSmart Properties and the homeowner do not belong in the vacation rental space. They asked that we respect the home, furniture, and neighbors during our stay. And we did. However, they did not respect our family's safety and well-being, much less the comfort and enjoyment of our vacation. James knew we were there to celebrate our mother’s 80th birthday, and there would be young children & our dog in the group. Day 1 we arrived to find the elevator not functioning. James responded with a couple of troubleshooting tips, followed by “Hmmmm…I’ve never seen that before.” His responses ended. It was ultimately left up to us to find a temporary solution. Day 2 there was a GAS LEAK, a health safety issue that resulted in NO hot water for over 24 hours. Fire department came, followed by the gas company. Gas company found a leak in the line, so they could not turn on the gas until it was repaired. There was NO gas detection monitor inside the house nor a monitor on the tank outside. When I contacted James about the awful smell that was running us out of the house, he & the homeowner insisted there were no gas devices in the home. After further troubleshooting on my family’s part, we found the gas hot water heater INSIDE the home in the laundry room right next to the children’s room with the bunk beds. Day 3 gas leak repaired & finally had hot water. No maintenance person came to assist with any of these issues. We were left to be the owner's maintenance staff.
