Government Camp, Oregon
This custom-built cedar cabin is four stories high and is located at the 4000 foot level of majestic Mt. Hood. The eastern exposure and large windows bathe the interior with bight, natural light. The tall vaulted ceiling adds to the spacious feeling. A spiral staircase leads to the tower. It's a favorite area for viewing the alpenglow on Mt. Hood, enjoying a glass of wine, planning the next day's activities, reading or taking a nap near the wood stove. You are in the tree tops, eye-to-eye with the ravens. It's everyone's favorite spot.
Spring, Summer and Fall you can hike and bike many trails and lakes in the area.
We hired Jerry Gomes as our builder, not only because of his excellent reputation, but also because he was in charge of the quality restoration projects at historic Timberline Lodge. His touch is evidenced by the custom Timberline front door with its handmade wrought iron hardware and rams head knocker. He hand-selected the blue pine used for the interior. Since the cabin was built it has been repeatedly updated and meticulously maintained.
On a warm day you can open the windows to allow the pine-scented alpine air to waft in. To take the chill away you can light a fire in the wood stove or simply turn up the thermostat for central forced air heat.
Summer or winter, outdoor activities, total relaxation, and lifelong memories are a certainty.

We stayed at this beautiful cabin. For this Christmas. It’s awesome. We enjoy it so much. Highly recommend.
Great location, cozy cabin with all the amenities you need
Very well appointed house. We were a group of five people who really enjoyed the house/cabin.
I would highly highly recommend this listing for the area.
This house was perfect for our stay. We only had to drive to drop the kids off at Skibowl. Otherwise we walked to restaurants and we walked to the Glade Trail trailhead for sledding and snowshoeing. Great communication with the owner. My teen boys loved the tower and my husband and I loved sleeping in in the darked lower level. The kitchen was cozy and would’ve been a bit tight if we had more people staying with the 4 of us, but it was well stocked and we had any tool or appliance we needed. We would definitely stay again!
Great place.
Walking distance to the shops. Very comfy all around.
My family and I loved the location of the house! We walked into town, snowshoed on the trail up the street, and skied at Timberline. Great memories!
We enjoyed our short stay at the Raven's Nest!
The cabin’s practical layout and numerous sleeping spots made it a great place for my family to stay.
Our family had a very memorable stay in this beautifully appointed cabin. The sleeping arrangements, the amenities, the nice living room space and outdoor deck worked great for our group of eight. We had wonderful meals prepared in the kitchen and an incredible dinner at Timberline Lodge… It was very comfortable and loved the fact that we could walk up the road and hook on to Glade Trail for a great hike to Timberline … Such a beautiful setting, nice to smell the mountain air, moonlit skies and soft winds, blue jays in the trees.
Fantastic house with lots of room. Well appointed. Perfect location. Close to town, but quiet. The only thing we wish it had was storage for bikes.
This house was everything we needed: spacious, warm, great layout, ideal location.
