Luxury Home in Woods w/ Easy Access to Large Private Gravel Bar on Meramec River

The home was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed and more! The layout was perfect for our large group and everyone had space to spread out. The beach was absolutely beautiful and everything was so private! We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our book club girls weekend. We hope to make it an annual trip! Thanks so much!

This house was perfect for our group of 13! Everyone had their own bedroom and plenty of space to spread out. The place was very clean and the beds are comfy! We really enjoyed our time here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The River Place. It fit our extended family's needs for space and amenities. Access to the river was definitely a plus as our young children spent a lot of time enjoying fishing, swimming, rock collecting and just enjoying our time together. The house was well equipped and a surprising find. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home and surroundings! House was setup with everything we needed! Kitchen had everything we needed as well, and we cooked almost every meal at the house. The inner tubes were a great addition for the river visits! The raccoons liked to visit at night... made some noise for those sleeping in the basement. Overall, a perfect stay for our family!!! Everything was excellent.

The house was well stocked and in great shape. All beds were comfortable. Lots of space. 10 minute walk to the river or minute truck ride.

We came for a ladies weekend and had the absolute best time!! The house had everything we needed and more! We were booked to float on Saturday but unfortunately the river was too high so we couldn’t. Even though that was cancelled the house offered ample amounts of fun and we even enjoyed some time walking around Steelville. The Main Deck was a very fun place and space boys taco truck was a delicious surprise. What a cute town! We couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Absolutely incredible stay at the River Place! The property is so beautiful and we made so many amazing memories celebrating Papa's 70th birthday. Plenty of space for 10 adults and 9 kids. Garrison's rafting trip and the convenience of pick up and floating back to the house was an extra bonus. Enjoyed our conversations with the property managers and communication with the owners was top notch. Only thing I wish was different was having more time there to explore more of the property! Hope to be back again next summer!

We booked this house for a women's retreat and could not have been happier with our stay. The house is beautiful and well functional with two kitchens and 4 bathrooms. With 18 women, no one was even waiting to shower etc. The firepit was lovely and provided us a great place for fellowship. The property managers were responsive and extremely helpful. They were proactive when it was discovered the wifi router was not working. We will definitely keep this at the top of our list for 2026 retreat. The entire experience from booking to our stay was exceptional.

The property had everything we needed to make a full Thanksgiving meal. The large table accomodated everyone with plenty of room. The property is beautiful, the owners were so accomodating and responsive. I don't think there was any detail not considered. The kids are already asking when we can stay at River Place again.

My siblings and parents plus youngest kids have stay at the River House for the past 6 years. It’s a great property and easy access to the river, a great fire pit with plenty of space for all of the family. We will be back!!

This is our second visit to The River Place. The home is beautiful and has everything we need. Gathering places both inside and out are clean and spacious. Cathy is a great host and we look forward to booking again!

I’ve been looking at this property for a couple of years and usually wait too late to get a summer weekend! This year I booked early but still the weekends were pretty full! We had a 3 day family reunion with about 20 people. The set up of this house made it seem never too crowded. Having 2 fully stocked kitchens and 3 coffee pots was awesome! The way the bedrooms are situated there are 2 bedrooms with a bathroom in between. The large dining table on the deck and kitchen was great! We had Garrison’s pick us up for a float trip and we floated back to our private gravel bar! Loved everything about this property and hope to return soon! Also great communication with the host!

We go floating 2-3 times a year, mostly at the Niangua and Buffalo. However, this location, house, and river just became my favorite place to float. The private river access was amazing! The outfitter literally picked us up from the house and we floated right back to our house. The house itself is beautiful! It’s large enough for a big group and has several bathrooms available. It feels like a home that is being shared versus a rental, if that makes sense.

We celebrated our 4oth wedding anniversary with a magical stay at The River Place with our four sons, their wives and our eight grandchildren. This amazing place could not have been more perfect for our group. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat, and play. We loved hanging out at the river during the day and by the fire pit at night. It was the most relaxing family gathering we have ever had! I cannot say enough good things about The River Place!

Our family loved our stay! The house has a great set up for a large group. Secluded & quiet with easy access to the river. Convenient to drive a vehicle to the river or a short walk! No complaints from our group of 21, we all enjoyed fishing, kayaking and swimming!
