Luxury ~ Gulf View Balconies ~ Carriage House

This house is beautiful and well located inside Destiny By the Sea. It was pretty clean in the house, but the carriage house was not so clean. One bedroom in the house can claim to have a shower, but what it really has is a bath tub with a sprayer. It might be perfect if you have young kids, but isn’t great for a 6’ man. Still, we’ve stayed in several houses within Destiny by the Sea and this is a great option for many. Three things need changed to make it perfect: the dishwasher doesn’t clean well, we couldn’t put anything with even a small bit of grease in it; convert the tub into a true shower and the dryer did not work the entire week we were there. The last was a major issue as we had packed knowing we had a washer and dryer.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 8 adults and 6 [grand]kids for a wonderful week in Destiny by the Sea. Sun Palace sits as close as you can get to the beach without being one of the on-beach homes, and it's just 2 homes south of the community pool. Plenty of space and amenities for our large family group. We had a couple of maintenance items that arose, but they were promptly fixed with no inconvenience to us at all.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Not only was it perfect for all ages but it was comfortable, clean, convenient and classy! The location was perfect and we had everything we needed! We will definitely visit again!

We’re a group of 4 couples on our 10th annual trip to Destin (8 to Destiny By The Sea). Things like proximity to the beach and a space where we can all sit and talk, or play a game, enjoy a fabulous chefs meal (and just enough wine!) together are high on our list. This house checked all those boxes. The management company was prompt, attentive, easy to reach. Well maintained property, well stocked kitchen, lots of storage, comfortable beds. Plus us a separate carriage house with full kitchen that sleeps 10–we didn’t use this but it’d be great for large families!

Over the past 20 years we have stayed at quite a few of the houses located at Destiny By the Sea. Sun Palace ranks at the top of our list. Everything was first class including a nugget ice maker, an eight burner Italian made gas stove, double ovens and even a warming oven. The Master Bedroom was fantastic and there was plenty of space in the Living Room and Sitting Area for everyone to congregate. We will definitely stay there again.

We had more trash on our last night and we really didn't know what to with the big trash can on the outside. We had a lot of trash from the Birthday Dinner.

There were 10 adults in our party. The home is more spectacular in person! Check-in is a breeze! The home is very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated! The kitchen is very well appointed with 2 full-sized ovens! It’s right across the street from the beach! We had a wonderful time and will definitely book again!

What an amazing multigenerational vacation in a breathtaking house with views of the emerald coast. Fantastic quick responding staff to questions and such. Each suite is well appointed and the beds were super comfy. Just a quick few steps to the gorgeous white sandy beach. Our whole family (17) of us had an amazing time from the 2 year old to the 77 year old. We had a blast and every need was met. The only thing we missed was having bikes available that we thought based on listing would be there and the grill needs rebuilt. But the property manager was going to see that. You will not be sad if you book this property for your next vacation. 5 stars indeed.
